    Welcome to Lyrics and Poetry

This is where you post your Lyrics/Poetry and receive feedback from other members. This forum does not endorse flame or racial comments, however, you are entitled to you opinion and that is respected here.

    What are Lyrics?
Lyrics are words strung together to make a song. Or by dictionary meaning:
Lyrics are basically what form your song. They are the words you sing. In order to successfully make lyrics, its needs to sound good, have meaning, be in the right order. Lyrics is like writing a story, If it doesn't change the mood of the reader, it usually means that lyric has failed.

An example of some lyrics can be found here:

    What is poetry:
Poetry is words that rhyme and have meanin or by dictionary:
Poetry makes people happy, sad, angry, afraid. It helps change their emotions. In order to successfully make poetry it has to have meaning, essence and history. Rhyming does not mean poetry. People often confuse this.

    A poem I enjoy is :
If you need any help with Lyrics or have any questions, I am more than happy to help you.

    ^Agreed.

I use Poetry to express feelings. I don't rhyme. You must be thinking of nursery rhymes.

    Welcome to Lyrics and Poetry

This is such a false guide.

    Lyrics don't "form a song"

Poetry doesn't have to all rhyme

Writing is simply a different art form enhanced by music just as instrumentals are enhanced by writing

There is no concrete way to do things but there's certainly distinguishable characteristics that make one better than another

Use of imagery, vocabulary, and lack of predictability all are things that enhance one's writing.

That said, it's subject to a writer's personal taste what they'd like to write. You can say "the car drove" "I ran through the cove" and to someone that statement would mean nothing but to you it could have had impact in your life
