i though this =P and tryed to explain it to a friend... but he didnt got it...

i dotn know whats the true... but MAYBE i see the green like your red

as an example we can use animals... like the bull ( i know, the human eye its diferent) BUT you see a green marker, right, but the bull (he doesnt know whats a marker but he can see it ) he can see the green marker too, but bulls cant see colors as humans... the bull cant see "our" green but he see the marker like "our" gray

I have thought of this before.... You can not prove it either way, but it is fair to assume that everyone sees the same colors....

I've thought of this before, but this theory isn't logic at all.
For example, it's harder to see a green dot in a red area than a red dot in a green area. So I see berries as red, red is a very distinct color and green isn't. I would see the berries faster if they were red and the bush green, than if the berries were green and the bush red.
Also, yellow cannot be blue. Purple cannot be orange, etc. Some colours are just brighter or more noticable than others. Everybody sees them the same way.

i thought about this and it could be true. i mean you say to your friend look at green. you show him a green card his interpritation of this olour could be anything. it could be black. i mean how would u explain it? grass is green. he goes out side and the grass is your black. he says yes its green. like my friend dylan eruera hes colour blind . he says he sees our orange as yellow and our yellow as yellow. so theres something.

I think everyone sees green as the same. If someone pointed and said, look a green iguana, and it's green, then yeah we both see it as green. I've noticed that some people think purple is pink, or the other way around, so I don't know, but they're similar colors so they might mix them up.

Interesting Idea. Maybe everyone's favorite colors are really the same?

    Yea, that's what I believe.

As far as I know, a color is just the light reflecting off a surface?

Ive thought of this to and Ive found the awnser. The pen is going to be that color no matter what you do, you can change its name to red and it will still look the same, its just a name like I could be Bob and I would look the same as I do now. Its like at the birth of a baby for example when its born your parents choose a name for it. No matter what the name is you still look the same, same concept with the pen.

I've always wondered this. I usually think about things like that every night really hard so I can ease my mind and sleep easier. It's so hard to understand. Is it possible? I love this topic and I'm glad you made it.

I've thought about this in the past, but about taste instead of colour.
There isn't a way of figuring this out as far as I know, but it would be interesting if it was.

Same here, I also thought about taste, but I think it would be the same, since it's chemicals you taste that give a flavour, example: C6H12O6 will taste different than NaCl, because of it's chemical compound. And other people would taste them the same too.
Those are sugar and salt for those who didn't know it.

I think that things like this can be hard to prove, since you cannot "look" into somebodies mind.

Well it could never be explained, thats the exiting part.
As I can not see through your body, and you cannot see through mine.
We could also never explain the color, how would you?
    "Its...Yellow?"

Colors are Prisms of light refracted of a object..

So lets say all are eyes miraculously became a little more wider.

Then we would see different colors..

This applies to color blind people also.

=O ironic ... I was having a discussion about this with someone in one of my classes today... also, how can you tell if your color blind?... if you see something and someone tells you its green you associate that color with green, the green I see may be a shade of black... how can you tell?...

This is where I get my thoughts on people's perception of taste. This may be complicated to understand what i'm saying.

Though if we are all perceiving the actual identity of the colour, hence we are trained to see it as that colour and respond to it. E.g. I see Green.

Could this theory your speaking about also answer the question as to whether this is what determines peoples taste in colour? Think about it if we dont see the same thing, we could ultimately see two totally different things. Hence why some people say Ohh a yellow car how beautiful, while someone else may say, eww how ugly..
