Is runescape taking away people's lives???
I mean I play it... but I used to be addicted and get bad grades and hang out with friends left often.
Now i have a life lol. I only play RS maybe 2 hrs max. Not even everyday. Idk if thats too much though?

symptoms of RS include:

ditching
bad grades
no friends
being a creep in rl and RS
getting gfs
Killing ppl in rl to replace pking
saying lol instead of laughing

I agree, kids get addicted to it now. Theres also a rumour that a kid killed himself because he got banned, dont know whether its true or not.

I don't ditch my friends only the ones who I don't hang out with at the time or if I know they are going to go out partying. I'm not the one for partying much.

When I started RuneScape I had really good grades because I knew I needed to do homework so when I got home I did my HW and got on RuneScape afterwards. I still do this too, but I don't play RuneScape as much as I did.

I have tons of friends, I'm a pretty popular kid in school.

No creep here.

Working on getting one now, I really like her and I think she likes me back.

I only say "lol" in real life because it pisses my brother off.

So there you go, Playing Runescape does not ruin your life.

 

It all depends on the person, some people become obsessed, others can manage their time...

 

I can manage my time, with less than 2 hrs a day.

 

I ussually manage my time well with runescape but there has been a few school nights when i am so determined to get to the next lvl before i go to bed and look at the clock and its 2am :S

Wonder how zezima and those other guys managed there time when they were at #1.. Sleep.. Runescape.. Sleep... Runescape... Sleep.... Eat... Runescape...

 

When i was 12 i started to play runescape, then at at 14 i found poker and i quit playing it. Then after no wilderness i completely quit and started playing poker for real cash(online). Now i just play poker and grind sit n goes, but i also invest on ge, log in a couple of times a day and that is about it.

In my opinion, Runescape is an evil game, and it takes people's lives. So after playing 1 year of runescape (when i first found out about it), i thought, what did i get from playing runescape? Preety much nothing but a waste of time. Kids play hours and hours, and they have no life as said. It might sound mean, etc, but its completely true, whether you are a zezima,defil3d or any other person that plays runescape, you have no life.

About no friends- you really don't have any because you sit on runescape all day long. And majority of player that play runescape, play around 4-10 or more hours a day.

What is Runescape? Runescape is business. It brings lots of money to jagex, and to gold sellers. It gives opportunity to take advantage of kids playing runescape and use it to earn themselves money irl.

So, do i like Runescape? Yes, its business, i love business. I spend majority of my time grinding out sngs on Full Tilt poker, but hey, business is business, so sure.

Its very, very true. That is the reason why they have no life, and if it sounds mean, then deal with it.

But its not for us to judge. Let's not blame anyone and let everyone play as much as they want, regardless if they have a life or not. The more those people play, the better it is for us So think of it as business.

 

Lol, I know some people that never played RuneScape and says lol irl XD.

I have a girl friend

Runescape does consume some of my life, but i still manage a normal life with friends and family.

 

Lmfao, when I was alching some person was like, " This is taking forever, I've been alching for 30 hours no break and still no 94 mage. " I was like " LOL. "

 

Runescape is very addicting.
I was hooked on it for a long time, but it gets tiring after a while.
Some people are even crazy to kill themselves over things in game

 

What amazes me is that you are talking about how sad it is to play RS or what ever, your complaining in some form.. Yet your on a runescape fan site. LOL

This is not really a fan site. Its kind of an anti-runescape site, because it promotes cheating in the game, and rwt. So i wouldn't say its a fan site, but sure, you can say that.

 

It's not the games fault. If a game wasn't addicting it would fail because players would not be addicted and go play another game. Therefore, it's not up to the game, but the player to decide when they're losing life skills because of this game and make a change accordingly. The game is good for several reasons; one of them being goal setting, a vital skill. It gives younger kids a sense of achievement, that they can achieve the goals they set. It's up to the parents to guide their child into a good lifestyle and balance is part of that, balance between leisure and work.
