HI Im just asking from your knowledge how can i speed up my internet.
im 30kp/s in downloading and 250kps in upload
Does accelerators work?
PLEASE HELP

 

1- Get a new ISP
2- Get a new computer
3- Delete all the porn.

 

A) I got a good ISP And i can upgrade speed.

well my internet was really slow for a while then i bought a new modem and made it heeps fast.
could it be the modem that is slowing it down by any chance?

 

make sure u have a good connection too

 

make sure that you only have 1 main account or 2 at the max, if you have 1 it normally speeds up your computer. hope this helps

Unless your harddrive is a 1rpm drive and 30kb/s down can max it out, its not gunna happen.

I've got the same internet as you, I really do feel your pain, not even youtube videos load.

The best suggestion I can give is to change to TPG. Australia has terrible internet, and no doubt your paying $59.95 a month on the 12gb liberty plan with Telstra?

If you can only get ADSL1 in your area, go this plan with TPG.

Well I know a way but its very very risky.

You need a ladder,duck-tape,camouflage,wrench.

Alright here is how it goes. You find the location of your ISP.
Climb the fence,find your region tunnels, then duck-tape your hand to the wrench so you dont get electrocuted!, and short circuit the wires, that would trigger the transformer.

Now go home and you have 100 mb DL speeds.


or you can stop being a cheap ass, and buy faster broadband.

I got a connection with 100mps but it same speed like the other 50mps. So i got 100mps and 50mps

Using LAN or Wireless wont affect speeds unless your ISP and router can push out 50mb/s, but hey, goodluck with that. I gave you answers in the post above, if you don't like them and believe you can keep asking questions, then have fun.

well you said you had 54mbps which is probally your wireless local connection to your router. The average isp connection is around 1-20mbps which connects throught the internet. The 54mbps represents how fast you can send files between computers, not your internet connection. However since you have 54mbps which is a wireless G router most likely. But having a strong connection to the router does affect your internet speed somewhat. If you want to utilize your wireless connection and possibly faster internet speeds try this:

1. Check your router and see if it supports the new "N' standard
2. Check your computer's wireless support for the new "N" standard.
3. Make sure you have a strong connection with the router, closer to it the better with less walls.
4. Connect directly to the modem via ethernet for optimal speeds (most likely however is that others computers in your network share the internet so this limits your bandwidth also)
5. Limit the computers connected through the same internet connection.
6. Upgrade through your ISP

 

Signal strength doesn't really affect speeds as much as you'd believe. I can connect to my neighbours internet with 2 bars, and play CSS with a constant ping of 20, no spiking at all. Page loads are near instant and I can pull 1mb/s off torrents.
The problem is here, he's on a 256k plan.

 

i with tpg. i wouldnt change, i get more dls then i can normally use and its faster then any other of my friends. i done a speed test and nilly 7000 on a internet speed test and if you live closer to the city it gets faster
