Should children have cell phones?

Depends by what you mean (Children). If your 12 and older you should have a cell phone, IF you are mature for your age, every kid is different though.

 

Lol, my kid will know not to abuse it. 'cause at the end of the day, *I'm* getting the phone bill. And if they abuse it, they get their phone taken away and grounded for a month.

We'll see them abuse it under those circumstances

 

I read somewhere, forget where, that children are 40% more likely to die if they have a phone. This is due to them using it and not looking before crossing a road of something... But still, they should be allowed phones... :/

 

I say no. I'm 15 years old and I have one, but I never use it. Anybody 17 or under probably doesn't need one.

I think if you are older than 13 you should have a cell phone just because then you will actually start to use it.

Yes they should. It keeps people and their friends in contact. It may stop people from going out to meet their friends but atleast they aint out 'shanking' people.

 

Personally, I believe that if you live anywhere and the kid can use the phone, they need to do it. Most phones can be tracked now and that's good if they don't take the phone away.

I also believe that it wouldn't matter because look what happened to Morgan Nick. I know that because she lived about 25 miles from my house. She had a phone and she was taken from the ballfield with a phone in her hand.

But I still want to know what Ya'll are saying though.

 

I think cell phones are slave collars, blackberry are more addicting then heroin
