Proof that the service was not completed: What happened was, I told him his design sucked and he should stop working on it, (this was very beginning of the project (1-2 days into the project). What I expected for him to do is a better job than the last designer who left the project unfinished.

TL;DR
I told him to stop because he was not a good animator and I wanted my money back, I told him he can keep 20% (keep in mind he did not start on the pages that were included in the price) of the 650$ for the attempt's he made (even though I believe I should get a full refund for that horrible attempt.) He is saying he completed 80% of the work which is bullshit and is trying to run with my money.



Another thing he said is in his "ToS" all payments are final. But that ToS is for design's not animations. and nowhere in our entire chat did he mention anything about any ToS's.

@Fred you should @ the people involved when making a dispute like this rather than telling them you want to keep it private and then outright make a public report. Dispute with @Fred, owner of DuelArena/Winbets


Background: Fred contacted me about creating an animation and a website page for his gambling website since the original artist that he hired went MIA back in April. The previous designer had already finished several pages for him, as he shown in in the screenshots below. Then he asks me to finish the animation + 1 website page, the missing pieces to his website to be done.

He mentioned 1 animation and gave a video reference but when I was called into the group chat, the programmer requested for 2-3 more different variations of the animation which wasn't agreed upon on the initial deal that Fred and I made.

After I’ve finished animating the whip animations, I sent the first preview, Fred didn’t like the way the animation was. He then sent a clip of an animation of 3D models made in Unity which on my thread, I’ve never shown any style of animation close to that. I have no experience in Unity, animations that I do relating to characters are done mostly by frame by frame drawings.


On the 18th of May, I added in a few more frames, sent in another preview

At this point, I felt like the results aren’t going to suit him, and the way he has conducted himself throughout the design process wasn’t professional, there’s several hints of passive aggressiveness. Thus, I felt like a refund would be best to conclude this commission. I messaged him to refund him on the 5/20/2020 but he didn’t reply until June 9th.

He continued to conduct himself in that sort of manner so I decided to get a mod involved to rule out a fair judgement. I feel as 20% of the total sum for 75-80% of the work completed isn’t fair. Even if it was 60-70% of the work completed, 20% is unreasonable IMO.


TLDR: He conducted himself in a poor manner throughout the process and he didn’t like the outcome of the project, so I decided a refund would be the best way to conclude the commission. I offered him a refund, he never replied, I even checked up on him 5 days after but no reply until the 9th of June. I then offered him 35%-40% of the total sum which I deem more than fair for 70-80% of the work completed but he refuses, he wants me to keep 20% of the total sum.

 

20% was nowhere near complete.

Keep in mind he literally copied my last designer but somehow his animation turned out to be shittier than the one he was copying off. The reason I say 20% was nowhere near completion, Is because he had to work on the pages as well as Hitpoints bar as well as hitsplats with a bunch of other detailed things done to the animation. The way I see it, He did a rough sketch of what my last designer did. This guy is trying to justify taking 650$ for a rough sketch that took him 15 minutes to make by the looks of it.

 

Also Please stop mentioning "outcome of project" There was no project complete, You waited 2-3 days for last designer to message back, I sent you what he did for me, u attempted the animation I stopped you while you were just getting started on the project.

TO SUM UP WHAT YOU ATTEMPTED DOING.

I asked if the art style needs to be similar to the art style of the mockup which you showed, you didn’t tell me that it is a MUST that it looks better than the previous artist. But your programmer even agreed that it looks better than the previous artist’s design and it matches better with the theme.

My ToS stands for all orders which includes animations. Yeah, I told you that all orders are final which you agreed upon when placing an order BUT I am still willing to offer you a refund. I’m not even using my ToS to stronghold you. It’s to make a point that I’m trying to find a middleground and be fair in all of this when you’ve been a total ass and lied through your teeth bits and pieces of this transaction.

Im not wasting my time reading your reply, You sure put a lot more effort into disputing my report than the actual work I hired you for, All I have to say is I showed you what The last designer did, and I told you to make it better, smoother, slicker look. You came back with a scuffed version of what the last guy did, so I stopped you. The dates here don't matter as I told you to stop working as soon as you sent me a rough sketch of what your work shows.

Timeline:

Kidjohnz started working after Elixr didn't respond (came back 2 days after with a shitty animation that one would say it was done on mspaint).

I told him to stop because he was shit.

He comes back and tells me he finished 80% of the work.

 

Another Thing to mention, He is justifying that his time comes first over the quality of his work (a big thing I mention somewhere in the DMS). I truly understand why he has to advertise on sythe now because no one would hire him in the real world, You are held accountable for the work you do, Just because time is put in doesn't mean its justified being paid 100%, The quality of work here matters. And there is no quality in what you attempted doing.

 

If people actually read the screenshots of our conversation, people would realize how much of a clown you are.

As shown in the screenshots below, I feel as the report wasn't properly assessed.







I don't think it should be judged solely based on this (1 animation file out of 3 completed, webpage design not completed) as this doesn't even account for how much work it was nor what I would charge for creating the characters, and backdrop for the animation.

As shown here; his programmer requests for 3 animation (1 where both characters whips each other, 1 where one of the character falls, 1 where the other character falls)

The whipping animation has been completed. The other 2 animations are just mirrors of a character falling down after being whipped. Thus, what wasn't complete was me animating the character falling down to the ground.

Here is the programmer stating I could use the inverse of the animation of the character falling for both characters.

Considering this, there are 3 major parts of the animation job: creating the backdrop/characters, animating them whipping each other, and then animating a character falling down after being whipped.

The webpage is completed. After it was complete, I sent it to him on the 05/18 but he dismissed it and never looked at it.

If you read above, His one animation (that I did not like and it did not look like an animation) is nowhere near completion as he states above.

He had to do the following.

Render animation hits with HP bar AND hit splats (he never started on these)

Pages that were suppose to be for this new game (he never started on these)

The only thing he attempted the whip animation (very beginning stages) which was horrible, hence why I stopped him.


This guy did nowhere near 100% of the work, The Hitsplats and HP bar renders is most of the work. The pages is the other work he never started. I truly believe he only did a shitty version of 10% of the work. I was gracious enough to accept the 30%. But now he is being a retard and I would like 90% of my refund. Thank you
