Someone had to make universe and earth and the creatures in earth, if anyone did it would be God, and for those saying "0MG'Z IT WAS DA BIG BANG" are wrong, even if it was how did it happen? - who made the big bang? - you could say the same thing about God. Just my opinion, and thats what i believe in.

There are no evidence of this neither that God exists. It's simply my personal opinion in this matter. All you have to do is to think logically and you will decide that this is the logical answear.

I don't believe in a god for the same reason that i don't believe in a Flying Spaghetti Monster, Harry Potter and 1 million other things that don't make sense.

    Proof?
You cannot prove that something doesn't exist.

Why did you rip of South Park. >.<

But I would like to say you'd be surprised what can be proven. Not saying your wrong but we didn't think germs existed and when the theory was born people started to live from surgical procedures.

    P.S. - I don't believe in god just saying...

Yes, but there was a rational explanation for the existence of bacteria. Farfetched for its day, yes, but still rational. Clinical trials proved that doctors who washed their hands between surgeries infected less patients than those who didn't. There were results to back up the hypothesis?

Where's any suggestion of God in everyday life? What results do you have to back up God's existence?

You attacked me when I'm with you... I was merely explaining how some things con be proven.

And I'll assume that last two questions were for me... God is no where. And I have no proof to back up God's existence cause I believe in Scientology.

So your saying that it is just by chance that the world exsists so perfectly designed and all these designs are all put together in the one place. It could be that everything happend to evolve on earth once earth formed out of lots of particles clumping together. But then again, how come nothing has evloved again in our time? Also what is the point of life if everything has to one day die? You may try to become the richest man in the world, or try to help misfortuned kids in Africa. But oneday you are going to die and all those riches that you worked your whole life for will go to somebody else anyway for their enjoyment. Also what is the point of helping kids in Africa if they are going to die anyway, you may help them to stop suffering, but then again they will die and so will you. So what is the point of even bothering living without a reason?

By the way, the world isn't perfect. Our bodies are stupid, if you haven't realized. Just look at any autoimmune disease. Look at the gallbladder. If you truly believe it was divine intervention, then explain that.

And nothing has evolved in our time because evolution is an extremely lengthy process. The earth is 6 billion years old. We've only been around for less than 1% of the earth's lifespan.

There's only as much purpose as you think there is. It's all a matter of perception. We don't need a God to give us our purpose. Clinging to the idea of life after death solely to give us purpose, or so that we can deal with the fact that life is UNFAIR, is juvenile.

Yes, the universe is as far as we know, infinite. Therefore, logic would state that somewhere in time a planet would just happen to be within the right distance from a sun to be able to sustain life.

As for nothing evolving in our time, you are just being ignorant. There are two types of evolution: Macroevolution and Microevolution. Microevolution is observable with extremely tiny creatures such as bacterium, and you can quite easily observe this in real time. Macroevolution on the other hand takes millions of years for even one small change to occur. It is not directly observable, but we have evidence to support it in things such as DNA structure, genetic similarities, and so on.

The point of life is what you make it - if you desperately try to hold on to the idea of everlasting life after death, then you're quite a sad individual. I live to enjoy myself, to amuse myself and to do things which benefit myself. Others I know find satisfaction in helping people in need, and yet others find satisfaction in furthering society in different fields of science. This in no way implies the existence of a deity and/or afterlife, so this is irrelevant anyway.

    In a scientist stand point,

If it isn't physical, it isn't real. If it can't be explained, it isn't real.

That's the similarities i've seen in most of the posts. If you can't prove he doesn't exist, there's no fucking reason to stand strongly by something you don't even fully comprehend. Listen to a few good sermons, then use information from the sermon into your conclusion.

Don't be so defensive, it make you seem idiotic to me.

You'd have to be an idiot to believe something that doesn't provide evidence of itself - that is my standpoint, and people who do such things look idiotic for me.

What you stated is a double-edged blade, mate.

Did you even read Swan's post? At this time it seems likely we both evolved from a common ancestor.

    lol
Did you really expect to see an ape suddenly change to a human within one lifespan. Google "evolution wiki" and read the wikipedia article on it and then come back please.

The common cold is evidence enough of evolution.
