    Alright, frankly Im pissed off.

Every day Sythe gets a ton of new members, 3/4 if not all of them idiots.

Sythe has rules, which should be followed, sadly no one ever reads them and ends up DESTROYING our community. People post shit in places where they aren't supposed to be, and it really gets me aggravated. People advertise, backseat mod like crazy, and many other things.

I have seen more posts in SFA and GD that shouldn't be there in the past 3 days, then I have in a month, and its getting out of hand. For example, check out these geniuses:

    http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=559586
And how about this one: (Why this hasn't been moved by now, is beyond me)
    http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=558300
Here's another one. (This guy posted 3 different threads, all videos in GD)
    http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=558968

Anyway, I think you see my point.

Now, on to the suggestion... I have seen somewhere, I do not know where though, that the users are unable to post until they have read the rules. If we have this, people will have no choice but to read them (and hopefully follow them). I really do think we could improve the community (because every person on this forum knows that most members do not read the rules).

Im just suggesting this because I really do care about Sythe, and I don't want to see it get fucked up by idiots.
(Also, maybe we could have like a quiz type thing, asking random questions about the rules, and on top of not being able to post until they read them, they wouldn't be able to post until they do fairly well on that quiz).

So yeah, thanks for reading, hope you people agree.

Suggestion, related to mine, by DDoS. I agree with this one also, and would love to see this one, or mine put into action.

It's pretty clear everyone knows that there are a few *ahem*A shitload of idiots
on sythe but there's just too many of them. Unless you suggest banning all
newcomers but I'm pretty sure sythe wouldn't be happy about that idea.

    Your missing my point.

Im not saying to ban them all (even though we should).

Im saying, that new members do not read the rules, and in order to keep the NEW MEMBERS from turning into the idiots we already have, there should be something that doesn't allow them to post until they read the rules, along with a quiz that they must pass.

If they don't pass the quiz and read the rules, when they try to post it would say "Sorry, unable to post. Please read the rules and pass the quiz".

I think it could improve Sythe.

So basically your suggesting that all newcomers must face a "rule" quiz in
    order to start posting? correct?

    Yes.
They must read the rules, and pass a quiz based on the rules in order to post.

At least then they would have some idea of what's not allowed, instead of doing whatever they want, and then finding out (but by that time they would have spammed up half the forum)

Well, have you thought of this.

Scammer X has 213 Posts and is finally Banned for Scamming..
Scammmer X creates a new Account and passes the quiz.
Scammer X is Banned for Scamming after 56 Posts.
Scammer X creates a new Account and passes the quiz again.
Scammer X is Banned for Scamming after 113 Posts.

In the Scamming aspect, it does nothing at all.
In the aspect of Spamming, Flaming, and the like, I've thought of this before as a way to improve Sythe, but nothing was ever done.

Why not change your suggestion ; We all know that there are tons of idiot's on sythe, and with 1 idiot comes 1 ignorant thread, that rant's on about nothing... And then, we all have to sit and look at these nonsense thread's until/if a mod/admin removes it. So, why don't we fix this problem by doing it ourselves. What I'm saying is, since mods/admins aren't always on to remove these dumb threads, the user's of sythe should be able to. A voting system should be set up so that we can vote out a topic.

Example; Someone makes a thread about "Whats your favorite food at McDonalds" and they post it in SFA, it's obviously going to become a spam topic, and no mod's are on to remove it. So, A voting system is set up on the thread, 5 Guru's, or 10 apprentice's vote on the removal of the topic, if all votes are in and the vote says agree, to remove the topic. It is removed. This can cut back on the spam we get, and the ignorance of people not knowing where to post thing's.

Yes, I did think of this, but Im not suggesting this for scamming users, they should be IP banned, which is another suggestion someone else made.

Im focusing right now on spamming/flaming idiots, which is just as big, if not bigger then our scamming population.

Nice nice, Im down for this, either mine of this one.
