Is there a safer way of receiving money online besides paypal ?

Hey I've been reading up on paypal and have heard numerous things about how it is very easy to get scammed and a lot of people recommend not to use it for receiving money. So anyone here have any other sites that are good for the same purpose as paypal that are safer ?

 

- Mail
- Moneybookers
- E-gold
- Western Union

That's all I can think of.

 

Along with those, Interac is available in Canada. Western Union is probably the safest method out of all of them, but they can charge a hefty fee when sending money.

Some ebay users MAY accept Western Union as a form of payment, but most only take paypal. When dealing with ebay, just use paypal, as it is safer for both the buyer and the seller. With WU you can withdraw money. When someone sends you the money, they will be given a tracking ID. They then give that tracking ID to you, and you take the ID number and a valid identification card to any WU store and pick up the money.

Egold won't let you sign up for a new account anymore. Moneybookers isn't able to be used within the USA, and Western Union is really the way to go, so long as you can pay the fees.

 

Alert Pay as it is used for many purposes. Its like a centre for receiving money. I used to use it.
