Well I'm not going to debate on the fact of deadzone not being able to comprehend the absence of heat, and light.

I don't think this thread was ever intended to prove god, it was more of a question to shredder asking to what extent. To solve this now you will never be able to to prove god to 100% because he himself wont let you. That's contradiction this meaning of free will and letting you do whatever you want, he will never force you to believe in him. That takes away a lot of the faith aspect. He will reveal himself to people through his works.

I've read this many times. This sort-of is like the teapot theory, except from the perspective of a christian. But that's the whole point, you can never proove there is not a god.

He will not let himself be proven? That presumes that he exists, doesn't it?

I don't think you understand. You also can't prove that there's no teapot, or santa, or burrowing pink bunnies on the dark side of the moon.

    Dear shredderbeam, what is proof?

Not to the extent that you want. You want it laid out word for word and there to be proof that indefinitely proves his existence? Well sorry hes not going to do that. That's a huge part of the faith. He will show you he exists but he's not going to come down from heaven put on a magic show to prove to you that he exists he does it through his works and his people. So he does show himself and reveal himself AND leaves evidence....but hes not going to do it how you wanted. It took me a long bit of time to learn, understand and fully comprehend it so I'm not expecting you to get it from this post. But if you did that would be a work of god seeing as how your pretty opposed to the god idea.

    Dear shredderbeam, what is proof?

Your assumption is that he exists, but quality proof is hard to find. This is a flawed assumption, as obviously, you could be wrong. There might be no God.

Why do you believe in God?

    Dear shredderbeam, what is proof?

No its not that quality proof is hard to find its that he wants you to believe in him through faith, not based on the fact that he pulled a trick out of a hat to show you.

You are correct, but its also flawed to assume that he does not exist. There is no 100% way to prove him as real of imaginary.

Why do you believe in God?[/QUOTE]
Because I choose to believe that we are here for a purpose, and not an accident.

    Dear shredderbeam, what is proof?

But by saying that you assume that he exists! What if he doesn't?

Same with aliens in the center of the moon, santa claus, talking rabbits, etc. Is it irrational to discount all of these because they can't be proven definitively wrong?

I'm looking for a rational reason that you believe in God. Note that if I used your argument, I could say that I believed in some alien race that told me to kill people - simply because I choose to believe that we are here for a purpose.

    Dear shredderbeam, what is proof?

It is impossible to prove God is real. No one will fully believe he is real unless he himself comes out and shows he is. If a random person with powers does healing + other things and claim he's the second coming of Jesus, people will still question him if he is real until the last moment possible.

He wouldn't show himself directly because he let's us have free will, if he came out and showed himself, he would more scare people into believing because of the fear of hell.

    Dear shredderbeam, what is proof?

well theres 2 main theories you can look at..

    theory of evolution

    and theory of god.

the bible doesnt say anything about the dinosaurs, so if god did create them why not mention it? as if he came after the dinosaurs.

we have proof of evolution from fossil findings, but the ancient egyptions have many astrological readings on there pyramid that talks about THE god(S)
the bible has either a code in the numbers and words in a certain chapter that have somthing to do with the signs of cancer, Aquarius, ect. ...

so if astrology, and astronomy are linked.

this subject is like a line or a circle.. keeps going and going or you end up at the same place that gives you a big question.

    Dear shredderbeam, what is proof?

That's interpretable. All it mentioned was "Leviathan" and "Behemoth", which are taken to mean the crocodile and hippopotamus by many modern biblical scholars.

    Dear shredderbeam, what is proof?

Incorrect. Macroevolution has never been witnessed. Microevolution has, however.

That particular situation is just an example. Have you even seen $2.5 billion dollars? If not, then how do you know it exists?

The argument in this case is against agnosticism.

Again, macroevolution hasn't even been observed yet many scientists claim that it has happened. That's sounds a lot like faith to me.
