Thoughts on George W. Bush?

overall, bush took security over liberty.

during his time as a president there were many cases where human rights were stomped on due to security needs, i feel like bush did what he did while believing it was for the right reasons, and probably did actually help in fighting terrorism, but i think Bush went too far and started to turn the US into a police state.

i hope Obama will be better than him

 

Hated him, one of the worst presidents ever.

 

He tried the best he could, and failed miserably. Hopefully Obama will be better.

What did he try to stop in Iraq?

What did he do that was great?

One thing I personally believe he handled well was abortion. He didn't allow foreign countries to use our money for abortion progression.

Abortion is a whole different topic in itself, but I believe he handled that sufficiently.

I swear you guys are morons....your blame bush for ALL the mistakes that happened the time he was in office, when in reality, most of the shit that was passed (bills, laws, etc) was by the Seate and by Congress....and if you knew a bit about Govt. you would know Congressmen add some bull shit to the bill that benefit them...example: Assault Weapons Bill, "Midnight Basketball" was added for gang members? basketball at 12? kk....

idiots dont blame somebody if you dont know half of it.

Its funny though, He didn't even want to be president. Its also funny how everyone blames the president for everything. You guys make it seem like if he wanted to he could make the world end.

Haha, James Buchanan was worse than Bush. I can also name about 10 other presidents worse than bush.

 

That is exactly what is happening with president Obama currently. He hasn't been in office for more then a week and they are already blaming him on our bad economy. They have to give him a chance to fix it before they can jump to he's ruining it.

I think he's bad, but not the WORST. Buchanan was worse for the nation than Bush, IMO. Bush will be remembered for Katrina and the War in Iraq. In the scheme of history, he'll be as unknown as hayes.

 

I think bush has done some right things in his time as president but he has made more wrong choices then right and he left a whole load of mess in america while concentrating on iraq.

I wish Obama goodluck in fixing all bush his mess.
