I disagree, the system is designed to build up the section that the team leader is in, however sections like the community general / off-topic / Reports cannot really be "build".

Wiping globals out completely was never going to be the plan... because these sections still needed to be addressed, specially if some idiots are spamming the boards and 5 different team leaders have to PM each other to remove the stupid posts; hence keeping two/three globals.

But sections like User Ed / MMor section / Black market / runescape etc can all be improved one way or another, that's why the team leader status was put in, to try and actually build these sections... eg, get more activity into user ed and better guidelines and actually have respectable guides/user ed members, etc.

So in that term, the current system doesn't actually fail ; so saying that, it was a good move to bring back a couple of globals

 

Hehe. It's a great system, if used right.

When I opened Zypur.com the first time I had it like that. Jansen, Vision Ex, Reece made their own sections, picked their own staff, controlled their own sections etc.

But after a while you realize, it's all the same community, why split it up into owned parts.

It also fails here due to how much work the globals used to do...
