    Prisons..is it right?

Who are you to judge if a man is right or wrong?

Who are you to judge that since he killed a man, hes violent?

Who are you to tell someone that drugs are bad?

    Etc.

Discuss : Who are you to judge what is bad?

Vicious crimes deserve more than prison.

Non-vicious deserve way less than prison.

Anything that harms another person to a great extent (physically or emotionally) should be punished to a great extent. However, drugs, theft, etc.. should not be punishable by prison time.

I agree with you that you cant judge what is considered bad or wrong, and you also can't decide if he is right or wrong, but if a man kills someone he is defiantly violent, sorry to tell you.

Shakaka pretty much sums up what I feel.

As you are driving, a kid runs out in front of your car that is traveling 35 mph, to retrieve a ball. You hit the kid, and send him flying in front of you. You, not reacting fast enough run him over also, killing him instantly

You will get charged with vehicular homicide, even though you didn't mean to. Thats a bitch. Prove me wrong.

Well Ok. I wasn't arguing about killing someone when you had no control over it.

Im talking about someone who murders people. (Serial killers, ect.)

Obviously someone who kills someone by accident isn't considered violent, but if you just walk up to a crowd and start knifing them, then yeah something is wrong.

Oh, and just to bother you, if your story actually happened, I doubt he would be charged. :p I have heard a lot of these cases, and VERY few have been convicted. The only ones that usually get convicted are if they find that the driver had been intoxicated with something.. Again, this little paragraph was just to get on your nerves lol, disregard it...

Are you a fucking moron? If he's killed, he definitely is violent, it's common-fucking-sense...

As for the drugs, it's because the government can't make money off of most of them, and most of them fuck peoples lives up.

well judges in the current state of the system are commonly involved in scandals. In my opinion you really will never know who to give the power to that you can trust.

Usually the people who control the laws makes the decision, or majority of the people.

I agree, it is an opinion.

But it's not just an opinion, but a VERY backed up agreement in thought. Otherwise the opinion wouldn't matter.

Ok ill tell you this once, and im going to tell you this very slowly.

When one takes the life of another human being, he has gone outside of his rights, and killed a human being. Therefore he has broken the laws which is why he goes to jail. I am to judge that he/she is violent because he has physically harmed someone, he has the potential to do it again. That is how we classify him as violent.

If a human acts like an animal, then they deserve to be locked up like an animal.

Thats the way i see it.

If there were no prisons then it'd just be chaos. There has always been rules and laws ever since the beginning of time, i'm sure if there was a better alternative to prison's then we'd use them instead. But currently prison's are our best option to control people. I do believe our justice system is screwed up though.

i think stupid crimes like some of those in other courtys like where a woman shows her face she should die becuase other man seen it. shit like that seems stupid to me, but to them it makes sense.

but if somone killed 1 person then there life should be forfit enlesss they did it out of self deffense. but who is to decide that it was in self defence. i get what you were saying TJ

The U.S. judicial system, if we lived in a society where some murders were okay, we'd all be circling the drain.

our judicial system is fine, very rarely if not never does a murderer get put away that never murdered anyone. And if that does happen he had some major ties to it that made it look like he did so he was defly involved

well, it is human nature, and the part of the fact that we humans are social creatures.

when one individual infringes the rights of other individuals, or harms them, society Punishes him

the commonly used punishment in most nations today is taking the individual's freedom and locking that person up in Jail.

of course, you can be a nihilist and ask, for the sake of the debate "but why is that? what if i see murder as a right thing?" and i will see this as something equal to asking me to define what is a Point, or something similar (try to define what is a point)

some things have no "logical" answer, although the answer is common sense.
