User Education

User education is a decently active forum, yet nothing is really being done. I just want to state; Pen this is not a direct attack at you nor am I putting you down.
There is so much to be done in UE such as; guides worthy of being accepted to the UE guides forum, no UE's are promoted anymore, applications should be brought back, there have been tens of reported ripped guides and none are banned and removed yet, the UE's which are on the team rarely do anything other then Rawr and R33l, the help & requests section gets filled with posts which would not be categorized there aren't closed and people post on them (spamming), not one UE has created a guide in God knows how long, nothing is compelling members to be active in UE, Pen is on but rarely does much in UE, and lastly I think someone who has shown activity should be promoted to the position such as R33l or Rawr or anyone more active.
Maybe we should bring back application, maybe we should reinstate the one guide per 2 weeks for UE's, maybe we should recreate the voting for applications and maybe we should add more UE's.

I'm doing this because UE is one of my favorite sections and something should be done there. It's just my feedback, thanks for reading .

 

Agreed, a more active UE team would be nice.

 

The UE Team is already active. Thing is, there are too few of UE's in the Section.

What are you saying will happen if a few UE's are added to the Team? If they are added, and they are more active in the Section, how does that exactly help it?

I'm saying that more UE's being added to the section will increase the activity inside of it. It might motivate people to write more guides, rate more guides, or give people more help. It could make people feel more involved in the UE community.

 

So people seeing others in the UE, and themselves not in the UE will make them more active?

I'm saying it will make people more motivated to receive a rank and become active in the UE.

 

UE is pointless, and always will be. No one on Sythe has the ability to learn, and if they do, they should just fucking Google it.

I've began to like Pen more and more (as he seems quite intelligent), but the section is still pointless.

Granted, the staff like it because it indexes more hits on Google, but it doesn't make it a useful section.

 

That goes contrary to much of the UE's standards though. It's NOT about the rank. It shouldn't be atleast. I understand your point of view though.

I do like some of the ideas Analog has stated.There is much to be done, however every one of the ideas suggested have been suggested before. Maybe if this thread gains enough support, something will be done. The UE used to be a great section, with a strong team and a lot of activity, but it has only gone down hill. It's time for some kind of change, or the team isn't going to last much longer.

On a side-note, I believe anyone of the current UE's would do fine with helping out the section. No disrespect to Pen, but I thought when he was added things would change, and sadly, nearly a month later, nothing has happened. Threads haven't been updated, people who deserve to be on the team and/or readmitted have not been, among other things.

I know there is a significant portion behind the scenes that is out of Pen's control, but updating some threads and locking other ones that needs to be taken care of isn't too much to ask for. Hell, we haven't even seen him in 3 and a half days until just now, after these threads came up.

What the section needs is a point. User submitted guides is nothing...

USER EDUCATION is the point. No one learns anything from UE =/.

 

User Education is stupid. Rarely do I find something useful in there. Why it was re-implemented goes beyond my understanding because it failed the first time and it isn't making much improvement.

The purpose of the section should be for tips and tricks,exploits and finds, not found in other places. Most of the guides are REDICUOUSLY stupid, such as "how to get a girl" or "free money by goining my referal" and it is just filled with that nonsense.

 

Those are the guides we have attempted to rid the section of, because they are just that, useless. It is sad that those guides continue to get by, however, hopefully with some improvments, such as the ones being suggested, that will change. Maybe if you got active in the section, you wouldn't find it so stupid? There are a lot of interesting guides to be found. Open your mind and just give it a shot, who knows, you might actually like it.

Something needs to be done with the User Education, seriously. Nothing is fucking being done and the only UE's that are active in there are Me and R33l. Pen, please fix it for fucks sake. Or at least pick a new HUE.

 

Might as well remove the UE then correct? I guess sythe just wants the hits which leads to more profit for him. IMHO, UE is garbage. I've looked in it and nothing useful. It's a bunch of bullshit guides with the exception of 5 or 6. Also, if it requires someone to get a rank for them to be active, you know they aren't there to help, they just want to whore around the rank. This is, of course, my opinion so don't get all defense and pissy if you don't agree with me like I know some of you will.

I just think we need more UE's. Theres nothing wrong with what the current UE's are doing at the minute.
