Is Teleportation Possible?

The internet was only created not so long ago. Think about in the early-mid 1900's what people would think if you mentioned the "internet.." This might come sooner then you think. You never know.. We've only just entered 2009.

 

Well mabe That would be great Well this is really interesting science

 

Even if they got far enough to teleport live animals, and they're destroyed, there'd be no way of knowing whether it's the same animal or not. Even if they did it on humans, and the original is killed, and the new one thinks it's the same person, no one would know until they actually did it themselves. So therefore everyone would be killed and there'd just be a copy of you walking around while you're dead.

 

Thats kind of brutal :O Barbaric, lol nah we dont need teleportation...

 

its a theological debate, are you the same person if you have been broken down and rearranged somewhere else ?

 

i dont know much on this subject (very interesting thread)

but I did hear they teleported a package to texas from arizona or somthing, also it had nothing to do with rearanging particles, just a quicker way for transportation. I believe theres different ways to go about teleporting. like in runescape, use a tab or runes. lol..

 

yea, i just watched the video - what the guys saying about a transporter other than a teleporter is true because i remember it WAS a transporter the government experimented with packages.

 

No one would know even if they did experience it, if said theory was true.

Because, you do it, and then your dead and the clone continues on as if it is you. Therefore you are dead and gone. You can't tell anybody that it is you because you are gone, and you couldn't prove if it worked by saying you are really still you because the clone would also believe it is you.

This way, everyone would continue on the same and people would spend countless hours and days trying to figure out how to beat this and know who is a clone or real.

It would lead to so much overthinking somebody would eventually go mad and try to kill everyone in a desperate attempt to rid the world of clones.

 

Teleportation of molecules, and other microscopic things is probably possible.

Humans however, will most likeley never be able to teleport.

 

Agreed. Also scientists have only ever managed to teleport atoms, a very small amount yes.

When you run a tap. A Droplet of water contains millions of atoms.

 

Uhh transferring particles from one place to the other in perfect form is Not possible GOD said so

 

You never know... theres magicians that can actually levitate, if they can do that, why not be able to fly?

Because we only use a percentage of our brain, once we tap into it im sure the future will change.

 

I think its possible, They can now let some molecules dissapear and appear at an other place; so if we get further with that in like 50 years we maybe are able to teleport like a pen or something, and it'll get bigger and bigger, like in 500 years we'll be teleporting like buildings.

Levitation is an illusion, one you have apparently fed into.
There is no "force" that allows people to fly; it's only illusion that baits the attention of the audience.

 

cool i guess, now I'm really going to miss that atom... I just see it a too complex of a process to be handled in the next 50 years, we make work something out with worm wholes, But you won't see me going in to one.

I highly doubt they will ever Teleport even a piece of dust. It just won't happen, not possible. The day I see that is the day I shout every sythe member a steam account. lol.

To teleport wouldnt they have to break down each and every individual atom within our body and then find not only a way to transport it but also re"attach" them all together,

I dont think it will be possible =\
