~Need Help With My Website~

Hi,
i don't want to get an infraction for advertising, so if you wish to see my site, could you please ask me to PM you a link.

I really need some traffic/new members on my site. The main tactic i was going to take up was mass emailing, but i could not find a serial for Atomic Email Hunter, so that is out of the window.

There is a huge lack of traffic, the members joined for a Call of Duty 4 patch, and that is the only reason. They join, download, never return. They never post.

I have 273 members that have made 60 posts. Sort of ridiculous.

At the moment i am using free forums and a free sub domain (Can't really afford to buy full at the moment).

So, i need help with:
-Getting more traffic
-Getting more active members
-Getting people to buy advertising spots so i can afford a real domain and forum

Whats the site about? is it something interesting? or is it not? you need to get the right audience for what the site is about for example is your site is for 3 year olds you would have lots of animation.

First of all, find something interesting that people will want. Example SYI, AGF all kinds of stuff kinda hard to find. Advertise on your MSN. Make it about more then one thing. Make users have to post once to download.

 

Their are loads of things you can do to bring in traffic to the site. Here are a few:

- Add a lot of people to your MSN and advertise there.
- Get an email list from Google or somewhere and send it out.
