For my first post, considering I was led here through a Live message, Obama is exactly what this Nation needs, he isn't corrupted by the system, and the minor issues of Chicago? Ever live there?

none of the presidents were actually "corrupt" and the very few that were close to it were impeached....

And I'm not wrong about the rest... I didn't mean communist, and only said that once. But dictatorship, FOR SURE. One man in complete control over the army, please look up what a dictatorship is. That's not every aspect of a dictatorship, but it's the war aspect to a tee.

WOW this has to be one of the dumbest things I've ever seen, if you really believe this check yourself into a crazy home cause thats where you belong. Infact its hard to find a politician of any sort thats not corrupt. However I wont pass judgement on Obama being corrupt until i actually see what he does in office, everyone deserves a chance.

 

The president is in complete control, except for a few things such as that. As far as I know there are no limitations for in country shit. Congress controls the money aspect, and can overrule the president. There are checks and balances, and the USA is no where near a dictatorship, even without the 60 days law, which is unconstitutional anyways.

 

I'm also an Obama-supporter and I'm happy that he won. He always made very compelling and excellent speeches and I think he'll make a great president.

 

Another great man made compelling speeches, I'm of course speaking of Adolf Hitler, you can't judge a person by how good of an orator they are.

can't bother quoting everyone but i saw a few things in this thread i wanted to comment on.

- obama isn't going to be the worst president like the brainwashed mccaine supporters said. he also won't be the greatest president like the brainwashed obama supporters said. the world isn't going to end because we elected the "antichrist" and we aren't all saved because we elected our "savior" (btw if you believe either one of these, i highly recommend being evaluated by a shrink). he will probably just be a decent president.

- bush wasn't a terrible president. the media makes him look much worse than he was. the same thing will probably happen to obama and every other future president. however, i believe that once some years have passed, bush will be looked at as a better president than he is looked at now and that will probably be true about future presidents as well.

- people who say sarah palin is stupid have a point because she sure sounded stupid during the campaign. people who say she isn't stupid also could be right because she just may have been a poor public speaker. either way, i doubt anyone's mind is going to change about this whether they believe shes stupid or not.

- black people have a right to be proud of having a black president. however, i wanted to comment about something else here. if mccaine won and people said they were proud to have another white president, they would obviously be viewed as racists. its still sad that race matters in america. blacks wanted and still want to be equal but i hate how there are some things like scholarships that are just for blacks. the idea of the civil rights movement was for everyone to be equal. not to preserve racism but in the opposite order. kind of off topic here but its true.

- obama surely got some votes just because he is black and mccaine surely got some votes just because he is white. but for people to say obama only won because he is black is just stupid. even if he was white he probably would have won. the reason for this is that bush is a republican and he was unfairly blamed for all of our problems so no matter who the democratic candidate was, s/he would have had to do something extremely stupid not to win this election.

btw, i'm a white male, i would have liked clinton and romney to be their party's candidates(that didn't work out) and i supported obama over mccaine. don't really have much else to say.

 

lmao. well buddy if there was a currupt president. why are we still here? wouldnt he have enslaved us or did something stupid to us? and no there arent "corrupt" politicians. in the sense of corrupt i mean like look at Josef Stalin. Mussolini. Hitler and all those facist dictator leaders.. they were corrupt. if there was a president who was corupted he wood of been impeached. so u should be the one in a crazy home.

So what if people voted him because hes black, you cant change history. Whats wrong with black people being proud of one of the most powerfull men in the world, being black.

I see that alot of people already hate him, give him hes first 100 days then overlook hes progress.

2nd of all. hes half black. so we could eaisly say hes white as well. 3rd of all. hes not that powerfull. hes just a figure for us

 

Politicians(presidents) in American typically have their corruptness with money, embezzeling, making under the table deals, tax breaks to large corporations that endorsed their presidential/political corporation.

Good example-Bush/oil companies
Bush administration/Enron

You really dont think these companies/organizations pay the politicians/presidents to try to pass legislation to benefit them.

Oh and with your logic "they would have been impeached" not all or caught...thats logic, you cant catch everyone and when its very influential people like politicians, let alone presidents are people commonly turn a blind eye to it.

 

The African American community and 99.99999 percent of society views him as black, he is black-fact.

Also if he is "just a figure for us", then the presidency wouldnt not be fought over by a few old men, or men who are skinny etc... it would involve several physically fit, and strong men as they would be a much more strong looking "figure" than a skinny 50 year old man...once again logic prevails
