Yet if you were raised on the Qu'ran, you'd be as equally convinced that it was true and the Bible false.

- Even if I could change what I believed, wouldn't a God see right through that?

It is very hard to understand the beginning of the world so my current explanation, because I am a Catholic, is that God had no beginning and no end and therefore he created the Earth. Atheists might call me stupid, but who or what created the big bang, who or what created atoms? So far the beginning of the world to many people doesn't really make sense in any way they could look at it because it does not seem logical because there will always be some flaw in it being logical.

Do you mean Ravi Zacharias? I briefly scanned his website, reading a few of the articles, and I didn't find anything greatly different from what I normally see on apologetic websites.

You should realize that I literally spend around 5-10 hours a week debating high-profile apologists (of all religions), including ones who have written books, give speeches, etc. That is the level that I am at, so I find it very frustrating to have people quoting the same old tired arguments at me, day after day.

 

Hinting a bit of arrogance there? Well I agree that you are one of the, if not best, "debaters" on these forums. You should try to attend one of his debates, I'm sure you will be greatly intrigued.

 

It's not arrogance - I'm trying to spare myself irritation at being lectured by those who are novices in the theology/philosophy field.

I'm sure I would be intrigued, just as I'd be intrigued going to any apologists debates or meetings.

In our Philosophy class at school we are watching the movie Jesus Camp.
I have learned by watching that these Evangelists use indoctrination to make their child's believe in God.
I am happy that even though my mother is a Muslim she has given me a chance to let me decide what I want myself. I have even read the Bible and did allot of research and will continue to do it myself. Right now I believe in evolution.
The best explanation because every action a animal or human makes can be explained by evolution.

For all those people saying evolution, evolution doesn't explain how life started, it explains what happened to it after it was already here...

 

It actually does.
Chemical reactions caused simple molecular "lifeforms" to multiple itself.
This is a simple form of DNA. Slowly it got more complex, mono cellular lifeforms came into existence and after that more complex creatures.
But I don't know if this is the evolution theory originally created by Darwin and remodelled a few times by modern science.
