Runescape Issue.

You got virused, and the virus makes you go to their phisher site everytime you go to runescape.com.
try downloading super antivirus or you should reformat

 

EDIT: - I think i found a fix for vistas, however, I am using XP if you need help add me.

- I scanned with NOD32 nothing came back.
- I am pretty sure its a java problem, i tried many game sites(They usually require java to play) many games don't load properly either.
- i verified that i had version 6 update 11 on my computer.
- I've restarted my computer.:'(

This has happened to a bitch load of people, and I keep saying for them to do this but I do not think any of them have.... >.<

Go to System32, Drivers, Ect, open Hosts with notepad. DELETE anything that has Runescape. Any line that says Runescape, or anything related DELETE. Just leave the ones that say localhost... Everything else can go... Thats the only way I can see this happening... You wanna be the first person to listen to me?

I remember going to that site, its a phishing site ..... youve got a virus from it which has edited one of your files which makes everytime you type runescape.com in browser it goes to teh phising site..i belive theres a video on youtube that tells you how to do it..so maybe you could reverse it?

 

None of this has worked, can/has anybody post/posted this on Runescapes official website as yet?

 

Do this.

1. Delete all of your internet history.
2. Clear everything with cc cleaner.
3. Do a virus scan.
4. try again.

 

fudgems second page didnt show up, how do you access system32 on vista?

 

You need to be careful. Some people are meen. system32 are your system files so deleting one can mess up you whole system.

You have to know what is going to happen before you do something. What he said sound ok because all your doing is deleteing rs stuff but be careful.

Computer> OS:C> Windows> System32

 

Did you try this??????????????? It worked for the other guy and it is the only way this could be happening me thinks.... >.<

 

All right. i've played RS for about 3-5 years, idk. Well, this have never happend me? also, can't you try download swift switch? that might work, just look at it on google, try that... idk man. This is wierd.

 

EDIT: I changed the read only thing for the hosts file. Sorta made sense after the 5th time I saw it >.<
