    ! Paypal Q&A -!

I have noticed alot of threads asking about Paypal so just post your questions here and I will answer them as best as possible.

Yes, there is two types of claims. There is the claim which you would choose if you did not recieve the item or recieved it in a condition that it wasn't described as and there is the claim that you would use if someone had hacked/stolen your paypal account and made an unauthorized payment. There is also the payment by credit card, do not accept these payments unless they are people you know irl. 90% of the time the buyer will go to there credit card company and request a refund.

It takes 60 days, once the money has been in your account for 30 days they cannot claim there money back. Also most credit card companys will not let you post your claim for your money after around 30-60 day's. Though this does depend on what company you are dealing with.

If you are not 18, DO NOT make a paypal account, this is because once you've added you're credit card or bank account you will still get limited and it will ask you to upload proof of I.D and address. Use a parents or siblings name on the account make sure they are sweet with it first though.

You've obviously been recieving a fair bit of money. Just upgrade to a buisness account and register the buisness under all your details as it tell you to do. You do not need to actually "Own" a buisness, just add in your name and address, etc.

That just means they want to know where you are getting the goods from that you are recieving the money from. Awhile back I sold my wow account for just over $500 and I rang them and they told me to just upload a screenshot of my account management, I done that and got un-limited. All you would have to do is provide how you are getting your goods.

Only deal with trusted members with verified paypal, If you are going to sell a shit-load then you are just asking to get limited. It is fine once you are limited as long as you can provide the evidence. NEVER log into your paypal account at an internet cafe or using a Proxy, this will get your account limited straight away, and in some cases banned. Internet cafes are allright to loggin from, but none should be to far away or they will get suspicious.

Yes, there is many alternative safe ways to pay. Some of these would include:

    Moneybookers

    Pros -

Fee's aren't to bad no fee's for adding funds but fee's will get a bit high if your'e selling alot.
    No claims, offer's seller protection
Can be withdrawed into bank accounts from most countries overnight.
Credit Card or bank account to fund, overnight for bank account.

    Cons -

Residents within the US cannot use it.
Buyers cannot make claims, only provides the seller protection
Your'e account can get limited once, all you have to do is upload proof of I.D.
Proof af address they will send you a letter and you just upload the code to your account, mine came the day after I requested the code.

    Alertpay

    Pros -

Like moneybookers, claims cannot be made
    Easy to use, like paypal.
Won't limit your account, you can use bank account and credit card.

    Cons -

    Like moneybookers,doesn't offer buyer's protection.
Credit card chargebacks can still be made, try to get a bank account payment.
Not many people use this method.

E-Gold (They may not still be open, not sure)

    Pros -

Like the above methods, no claims.
    No limitations, ever.
    A few people use it.
    Very low fee's.

    Cons -

Hard to use and navigate the site.
    Slow site.
To many currencys (Gold, silver, etc)

Trading in-game goods, such as runescape and other mmo's.

Confirmed - They have uploaded evidence (a phone bill, internet bill, etc) to proove where they live and that the address is under there name.

Unconfirmed - They have not uploaded any evidence prooving where they live.

It can still be claimed the two times no matter what.

Like paypal, it will say if they are sending via a credit card and it will take the time to clear.

You know what's Shipping Address: Unconfirmed and comfirmed?

If it's comfirmed means they are the owner of the account or something?

Know any other things similar to PayPal other than those ones you listed?

Moneybookers (Residents Of The US Cannot Use This Method)
Alertpay (Like paypal, without the claims)
E-Gold (I think they have gone under though)

Post pros and cons for all please.

    Humm?

Moneybookers offers seller's protection and Alertpay is like Moneybookers but doesn't offer seller's protection?

    You contradicted yourself lol.

And are there any fees for transfering from you and the another person and from bank to website and vice-versa?

    Thanks.

Whoops, thanks for that, I'll add that info now. I couldn't find any info about alertpay's fees around.

Like paypal, it will say if they are sending via a credit card and it will take the time to clear.

As in paypal a credit card payment would take 3 or so days to clear the same would happen on alertpay.
