You know what's stereotyping too? Calling black people African Americans. You're presuming the person a) American, b) African. A black person could juts as well be from Australia, India, Dominican Republic, Trinidad, Brazil, Jamaica or Haiti.

But nooooo, when you see a black person you instantly assume that he or she is both american and african, right?

Also, usually, you see say that to black people IN AMERICA.

I'm sorry, is there a leader of all black people who decides these kind of things? Has every single black person in America been interviewed, or voted on whether or not it's okay to call them African American and reached a 100% yes? No. You're stereotyping, yet again.

And that's the whole point - black people exists in other countries too, but you're still stereotyping by stating that black people in America are americans and africans. They could just as well be tourists from Australia, thus not being eligible american citizens nor africans.

Blacks came from Africa. Most people who live in America are Americans. Even if their FROM Australia, they still have African blood in them from an earlier time.
