My legacy. What I left behind and what lasting mark I made on this world. Whether it be through my children (when I have them), whatever I did for work, my image in the eyes of my family and peers etc. That is what I would care about most on top of the obvious making sure my funeral and will was set in stone just how I wanted it. I'd also be looking forward to finding out if there is and what is the afterlife. I've always somehow looked forward to death to find out that question. Either I die and become and inanimate object with no thought process, pure nothing for eternity. Or there is an afterlife and its bad ass filled with everything I could ever want. Plus I get could the answers to all the unanswerable questions in life, like where the universe came from.

What matters is how you’ve spent your life and what it meant to you

If I see that my children are good people and, it will mean that I did a good job. I really want them to be happy. This is my goal. And it matters a lot.

That you fulfilled the goals that you wanted to, and if you didn't, that you can forgive yourself for not doing them.

What matters is what have you prepared yourself to where you are going at the end of your life and what will happen to you after you are dead. Did you ever tried to find out what your purpose in life is. Or you were just here for the purpose of just living and dying. If that's the case then what are you holding on to. Either way you will leave everything and everyone you love no matter how much you want to hold on to it. It will be you and what you believed in the grave. If you were ignorent of a creator you will face consequences for denying it. There's no doubt about that. Let say for example from an atheistic veiw, if you were right there's nothing to lose for either one of the groups that believe in a creator and did not believe in a creator. But if the one who believes in a creator is right, then those who hold on to athiestic believe are taking bigger risk than a believer in a creator.
