Skate 2 Vs Skate!

Well, as you all know Skate 2 was released on Janurary 21st 2009. I was going to purchase my copy today, and 3 stores were sold out, the other store on which I plan on going early tomorrow morning was supposed to have their shipping in today, but did not.

Now, for those of you who DO have Skate 2, and Skate 1, or who have played the demo of this game, tell me which one you think is better, and of course why.

I myself, will be posting my thoughts on this game tomorrow when I purchase it. For now, I have only played the demo, and will soon be doing the glitch to get out into the free world.

Also, if you don't like either game, don't just say these games suck. Say why it sucks. Also, if you found stupid little glitches in the game, like the first one how your wheels go in the ground, the revert 360 flip thing, etc, say those here as well.


PLEASE NO TONY HAWK, UNLESS YOU ARE HATING ON IT BAD AND SAYING HOW MUCH IT SUCKS.

Well, I have played Skate 1, and it was alright.

I don't really like skate games though, it get VERY boring to me after a little bit - I mean in my opinion, how much fun could you have skating around? Just my opinion

 

Do you have a soul, did you not play Tony Hawk as a child?

But I heard skate 2 was supposed to be amazing, skate 1 was alright.

Btw, skating around can be contuniously non-stop fun. There is just so many lines to make, so many spots to find, even after you have found all the spots, you can continueously play on. It never ends, that's why I like it so much.

 

One of my buddies said Skate 2's on foot movement is pretty rough, and people always seem to get in the way when you're doing tricks.

Yes I did play tony hawk, and the same thing applies, I got very bored with them. Like I said, this is just my opinion...

 

skate 2 owns i got the demo and i play over and over when the time limit ends i reload it ^^ fun game might get it later

 

Thanks for posting. WTP, I know all of you don't know, but the majority of people do.

The on-foot is pretty rough, even in the Demo, but thats somthing to get over. Couldn't even go on foot in the first.

 

Im not reallly a skate fan im more of a tony hawk fan, Using the analog stick to ollie and other tricks is rubbish im more into x-ollie etc.

Also i hate how in skate 1 you cant walk and in skate 2 the walking feels like shit. Lets hope tony hawk releases something crazy unlike proven ground.

Alright, I got my game today. Skate is the shit, it wins hard.

It's so much more smooth, lines are way more fluent, way better challenges.

You get to shoot demo(s) oh my god. I just love this game so much more than skate.

The off-deck is kind of sloppy, but you get used to it.

10/10 skate 2

7/10 skate 1.

 

I havn't played skate 2 couldn't even find the demo after the game was released. I did like skate, enjoyed tony hawk more. I can't wait to try skate 2 but anyway being a real skater i just wanna throw a tre flip down the biggest set i can find.

 

Usually, the only people who get bored are people who don't actually skateboard. I don't skateboard, but I used to ride bmx, which I did for four years. I can vouch for the dude in the first quote when I say, if you really do skateboard or bmx, or whatever, you will find a game like that so much more complex, just because of all the insane lines you can imagine in your head; mostly because you actually know the sport and the lines are basically endless.

It's hard to explain, but I'm sure someone knows what I mean.

 

Actually the ones who do skateboard get board, no skateboarder wants to do some ridiculous challenge challenge they wanna go hit up some different spots they get board fast with the same spot, all we wanna do is free skate.

And to hybanks, theres no redicoulous challenges, once you beat all of them, you're free to skate around wherever you want.
