Kicked out of house, no job, no money. PLEASE HELP!

Firstly, I'm not banned that's my avatar since I quit sythe...

My best internet friend just got notice from his parents he has to be out of his house tonight. He's packing his stuff up and finding a good park bench to sleep on. He has literally no money and no food. He isn't sure what to do or where to go. He has a few hours left so please help. Is there any sort of law that could help him out? Like, do his parents have to give him 2 weeks notice? What should he do? I'm trying to get enough money for him to fly up to canada and live with me till he get's his feet on the ground. He lives in australia, and is 18 years old. This is serious, so if you are going to joke around, please don't post.

Parents should be responsible for their child.. Well it is 18 but still, he could call to Child care and they would sort that out probably. Well i just tryed to help.

Australia huh... where abouts? If he's in the city, there's a few halfway houses there. I think there's one on Little Collins Street, of course, if he's close to it/can get a train there.

If he can't find child services immediately, I'm sure that he can stay at a shelter until he can find the right contacts - It should be fairly easy for him to find one.

In australia there is a support system, tell him to go to center link or something. Perhaps call up a friend or someone just to stay for a bit.

Hmm.. I'm not exacly sure, but there should be some place where homeless people can go and sleep there, they get food etc until they find a job and get some money etc...

I've heard about these places but not sure if there are any in Australia...

Well, he should be able to find a friends house, or a family members house, if he can't then thats sorta messed up.

If that fails, he can use the support system or whatever thats listed above.

 

I'm sure a 18 year old can look after himself. Your acting as if he was 11 years old being kicked out onto the street. he will manege, he can find a freind,shelter etc..

 

Me getting kicked out? I moved out when I was sixteen due to an abusive father, and have gone to school, and worked at 2 jobs ever since. Please don't spam my thread.

Thats terrible. But as far as the law goes, no - he is 18, and is considered an adult in the laws eyes. The parents only have to provide shelter until he is 18, after that its their choice what to do.

He could stay at a shelter though, until you get enough money to fly him too you, or until he could get a job. By the time your 18 you should start being independent.
