Obama became president at 12:05 their time. His long speech after that tell us many things he plans to do. The speech mentions alot of things which allude to collective action by the government and America, and how he with the American People's help will help it recover from the economic crisis, face environmental challenge, fix the broken health care system, etc... So now that Obama's President of the most powerful country of the world, do you think that he is up to the challenge?

He's up to the challenge, but promising people too much. They'll end up disappointed.

I can't remember the last time the public was wholly satisfied with a political leader. One decision pleases some and angers others. It is my belief he will do a good job regardless. Everything he has promised is achievable.

There's one thing that's kinda interesting is that with all his bail out plans and what not with all the spending, it will end up with like to totally pay our whole debt off it will cost everyone in America about $50,000. With our current debt its only around $35,000 so that's kind of a big jump in the spending :/ still I doubt he'll ruin the country he's just not gonna make anything impressively better, but then again no one will be able to change our situation too quickly I bet we'll be down for another 10-20 years at least :p

I think that the United States have dug themselves so deep into this crisis, that no matter what miracles Obama performs, in the larger picture and in their eyes, it will seem inadequate.

I cringed out loud when he mentioned that the market needs an eye watching over it. This is going to be a long four years.

Small actions all have an effect on the current problem they have. His promises are small; reform not overhaul. Wouldn't the sum of all his actions and the actions of his supporters be enough to solve America's crises?

He became president at exactly 12:01:00... He was president before he failed at saying the "oaf" as the introducing lady said.... I was laughing the entire time at all the mistakes they were making... I thought his speech kinda failed... the priest dude was a moron, and they are using religion to get the peoples backing... failures.... >.<

I had midterms today and they allowed people to watch the inauguration or study before the 10:00 test. Amazing how many people preferred to waste their time just to watch his failed speech.

Also, this was the most expensive inauguration in history. Way to lead by example.

Very, Very Big Mistake By Those American's.

There just asking for another President to be assassinate I mean c'mon he was just running for presidents and there were already plots to kill him. He's an enthusiastic leader but he has promised the Americans to much.

Well..Obama has been very charismatic. I think he'll do a good job. He just need some time to adjust. He should deliver whatever he say in his speech.

I don't know if he can fulfill his promises, but i never thought we would see a black president, so IMHO his "yes we can" thing worked.
