Urgent help!

I don't know why this happens but everytime I go on Runescape site on my laptop the homepage looks different. Such as: The total number of users playing is always 14(even after refresh) , and the news archives are from Dec, 2008. The most recent update on that site that says: "Jagex have finally opened Runescape Classic to non-members now". I tried playing on both free and member but when I try to log on one of my account it says,"Invalid Username and Password(No I didn't get hacked).Does anybody have the same problem as mine? Please reply as soon as possible.

Just a thought, but Id clean your whole computer very very well. Someone could be sending you a false website and stealing everything you enter, its plain as day to see that something has definitely infected your computer and Im pretty sure this would be it, can someone get him a second opinion on this though?

 

Is it working when you're at home? And are you sure your account is okay?

 

I think you may be on a phishing website that you accidentally bookmarked. Virus scan your computer and change your password immediately.

 

Yes its working fine when I use my desktop computer.

Could be an issue with your cache. Go to Tools then Internet Options and then clear your history as thoroughly as you can.

 

I cleared my browsing history, I am using a smartsceen filter that protects against phishing sites but when I try to go to http://www.Runescape.com/title.ws it doesn't work.

 

i got same problem exactly ..

i tryed my use in my father oc and its woking well !!

i try to virus scan with kaspersky 2009 and avira all updated ..

=S i clean my pc using ccleaner and cache but the samme i try to restor my pc but

the problem is there .. its only on runescape site , when

i go fun orb its working well , when i got play rs on my dad pc or my bro its ok

but in my pc its like ur problem

 

btw the problem started yesterday ..

hi, hmm mabye its a bug or mabye its a virus or somthing make problem !!


i dont know what is the problem exactly so i might format if i didnt get help

in here !!! and hope the bug go away aftter i format ..

w0o0! i fix the problem guy !!!!

i use hijackthis to see some items and delet

"dont delet any thing unless ur sure about it"

then u use the protable regfinder and i search for "rune"

and delet every thing related to runescape and it worked ! !!!!!

o lul... maybe phisher?

Go to System32, drivers, ect, and open hosts

Then delete anything that has www.runescape.com... that might be the problem... :/

suf is right its about hosts u can do what he said or use hijackthis and delet every runescape host and enjoy

 

I tried everything. First I ran CCleaner and delete all internet files. I scanned my computer for any viruses and there wasn't any. When I try to play Runescape it just shows that same screen I was talking about in my 1st post. Anybody have the same problem?

 

if ur playing at school? or other places check the proxy and pyshing settings check if the site has its proxies blocked and if ur playing in a libary its more than likely that the site has been firewall blocked check tht aswell

 

Oh, lol I've actually helped solve this problem before...
That's a phishing site because as you can see Runescape now comes 3 different languages...
It's a trojan :O
I forgot about alot of it but something to do with "Back.Door"
