I don't know if anyone has replied to this, but let me give my 2 cents:

Being at the age of 13, with no disciplinary problems before, it seems obvious that at this time, she had a respect for authority/elders.

That being said, when they conducted the search, she couldn't say no because it was something someone in higher power was doing, or an older person.

And if she did say no, or hold off, they may have forced her to do it.

She might have been scared of a far worse result then just saying yes and doing it.

But seriously, over some pills to get rid of a headache? Damn..

Everything above "but seriously, over some pills" line is just what I think.

So first you say that it shouldn't have happened because she had no prior incidents, then you say that the authority of the officials had the right to, then you say it was wrong?

That's disgusting. Ibuprofen is a drug yes, but a common medication. You don't strip her down to her bare skin. She's 13!

I think the school official/officer that suggested this search should be punished.

    Not this radical, no.

However, here in Chicago (most of the pharmaceutical stores anyway), and obviously elsewhere in America, you do need to be a certain age to buy aspirin.

I'm not saying 13 isn't old enough, I'm simply saying, that there is an extent.

Furthermore, if the school believes she was dealing this alleged aspirin, then technically they can do as they please.

It's part of that thing you agree to when you register for school, saying if you don't follow our rules, we will take action, etc.

A little over the edge here on how the school handled it, but still.

School's can't do as the please... Read law's before posting on a topic about justice and certification.

Certification ; the police have the right to strip search, ONLY with permission of the suspect, OR having the suspect in custody at the police station.

The only way the teacher's/officials could have strip searched her was if the parents signed a letter of consent saying that they school has full right to their daughter to do what they please, hence ; spanking , paddling , STRIP SEARCHING. But they didn't sign this consent which gave the teachers NO right to strip search the girl
