Now take that, think of it on a global scale, and you will have what would have happened if GM and Chrysler shut down. 34K jobs lost, try 500K jobs lost. It's sad to see the effects of the economic depression, but we saw the downfall of businesses coming.

Arevalo2k, you should worry what's going on in the US because the Canadian economy also relies upon the US industries and economy. Much of Canada's goods are imported from the US.

You don't see the problem? 34k people out of a job..nope, thats nothing. The economy is shit right now, and there is more firing than hiring. College takes money, also.

Pretty much, if you have a job you better keep it.

    Circuit City shuts down

Are you also shutting down your operations in Canada?
No, our Canadian operations will continue. They are not affected by the liquidation of Circuit City's U.S. operations. The Canadian operations employ approximately 3,000 associates.

HAHA, eat it. Canada is spikin' the punch.

More on topic: 34, 000 jobs is alot, it's horrible how bad the economy has become over the past few months.
