No..for that much money you could make a computer 4x those specs way faster..but why would you even need all that power unless you plan on running tons of programs at once or playing games like crysis on a 30'+ screen at maxed settings o.o

    Alienware.

I've moved from a laptop to desktop. I find myself not really needing a laptop yet.

For $3,600 I can pretty much go beyond what Alienware has for desktops, including accessories.

LOL why do you want to spend that much money on a computer?
I can probably build a computer for 1200$ that can run every game on high detail... easymode.

    I total agree.
There are better things to spend your money on...Like a car, house etc.

I went through their parts for the best desktop you can get, and it would only cost me half as much to put one together.

Alienware is nothing special. You're spending extra money on nothing. All an Alienware PC is, is an overly glorified Dell.

"Alienware is an American computer hardware company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dell, Inc."

At least look around a little before you go spending $3600.
There's probably the same thing for $2500 around the corner.

I had an alienware laptop and it was great, it broke once and I sent it away got a new one within a week they have excellent service. They are a little over priced but it's worth paying.

    Alienware.

It's quite simple. Bare with me, it's long but important.

If you want a laptop, you cannot custom build one. Well easily at least. Therefore, if you plan on getting a laptop. My recommendation is to worry about 2 things about the laptop.
    1) The processor. (Most optimum I find is Intel Centrio Dual Core)
    2) The graphics card (Personally, I use Nvidia and if you decide to do the same, I suggest a video card that is NVidia 9K+ series [Example: 9400M])

PS: People say Memory/RAM and HDD are important in a laptop, HOWEVER, those are the only things that can be upgraded in a laptop, therefore buy a computer with your wanted Processor and/or Graphics Card.

Moving on to a Desktop. This really depends on your proficiency on building a computer. If you are an expert, then you are already ahead of the game, HOWEVER, if you are a computer virgin, there are NUMEROUS tutorials on how to build a computer, just go on Google and type "How to build a computer"

Now, if you would like to build a computer however want to save money, I suggest my favorite website. TigerDirect. They have amazing shipping, it's literally at your house in 2 days. When I bought mine, shipping was a bit more expensive for me, however they are charging $4.99 shipping if you purchase more than $100 which is easily done if your building a computer from scratch. The BEST solution I have for you is to go to TigerDirect and buy something called a BareBone Kit.

    Link: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicati...re=Homepage-_-Spot 17-_-Barebones_B450-2372 C

When you buy one of these kits, they supply everything you need usually except for a CD Rom Drive and/or a Power supply and/or Case/CPU Fans which can all be bought separately at a low price. If you have any other questions, PM me or ask me here.
