So... all my .psd and .avi files are gone

Well i don't know what happened. All I know is that every single one of my .avi and .psd files are gone. It's weird and depressing. I go to the folder were I save all my images I create, and only the .png's are there. I was like this is weird. I thought they were hidden or something. I search for the file extension .png, and nothing at all comes up. I enable hidden files as well and still nothing. Later on I go to my video folder. I only have the .mpeg2 files that I use for my zune, no .avi.

Does anyone know how this could of logically happened (don't just say "OMG A VIRUUUUSSSSS" I am very careful with what I install), and is there anyway to undo it possibly?

And yes I have checked my recycling bin. There was stuff from like 2 weeks ago in there. Nothing new, especially not missing files.

 

try a system restore from a point before it happened.

 

I will try, but all my files are on my D drive, I save nothing on the C drive that way I can reinstall windows as many times as I need without deleting files.

edit: Nope. nothing

 

Dang that sucks.. All I care about are MP3, movie files and .psd's.

Try using those file recovery software's.
