{The Ultimate Guide to 99 Woodcutting!}


Ok so! You want 99 woodcut but you don't know the quickest way? Maybe you're not sure which way will make you the most money... Well it's all here!​

Levels 1-20

Items needed:

Bronze-Steel Axe
Knife to fletch (optional)
Tinderbox to burn (optional)

Start your way over to the trees behind lumbridge castle. This is the best spot to start because you can just sell these logs to the general store to powercut them, burn them for space, fletch them into shortbows/longbows and sell to general store OR fletch into arrow shafts for space. 1-20 will take anywhere from 30-40 minutes, depending on how fast you can cut the trees. If you burn your logs, it will take more time, most likely around 1 hour 15 mins.

Facts:

-Each log gives you 25 exp.
-Don't cut Oaks yet.
-30mins+ to reach your goal.



Levels 20-40

Items needed:

Mith-Addy axe
Knife to fletch (optional)
Tinderbox (optional)

Now you're at 20. Cut oaks now. Cut in the same spot as the regular trees in lumbridge. There's a few trees there and you can still sell and burn for space and fletch and sell to general store for space. This won't take long. I'd say about 2 hour is the time to do this if you are rushing.

874 oaks from 20-40

-2Hours+ to reach your goal.
-Don't cut willows yet.

Now is the time to choose your own path.

For Fastest to 99:

Rune Axe
Dragon Axe at 61 (optional, members only)
Tinderbox to burn (optional)

F2p: Cut Willow logs. This will get you 99 in around 1-2 months if you play for several hours a day and you do nothing but woodcut. Cut the willows at Draynor, just below the bank. You might as well bank because banking is quicker than dropping if you wanted to power cut. Members and non members should both do this if you choose this path.



P2p: I'd suggest going to the barbarian assault arena. You can cut around 8-10 trees or so here (i think about that). You can immediately deposit into your bank. It's quick and very good since there is so many trees. It's alot less occupied than in Draynor.

That's 3,465,918 gp worth of logs. (18 each)

Facts:

-This is the fastest way to 99 no matter what.
-This doesn't make alot of money
-This may seem like a LOT of logs but it's not all the bad. You get them pretty fast after like 50.

For everyone else who wants to make money, this is the path for you.

Levels 40-80

Items needed:

Rune Axe
Dragon Axe at 61 (optional, members only)
Tinderbox to burn (optional)
Knife to fletch (optional, members only)

Ok so follow the instructions to getting 99 on willows as listed above, only stop once you hit 80. This is relatively easy, depending on how you look at it. I can get to 80 from 40 in f2p draynor willow in 1-2 weeks or so, playing for a few hours a day. This is average time i guess, i try not to get distracted from doing it. For p2p at barbarian assault i can get this in a week solid, because the fact there are less people woodcutting here and more trees. Remember, if you want to fletch after a full load, you'll need to bring a knife with you, fletch the logs THEN deposit. A deposit box lets you only drop off items and not take from your bank. If you woodcut at Seers bank then you can drop off first, fletch first, whatever. It's a close bank and makes it easy to drop off logs or bows (u). There's around Another spot is catherby but i don't suggest it. It's farther from the bank and the only plus side to this is that there's hardly anyone there. There's around 3-4 trees here.

28,871 logs from 40-80
That's 519k gp worth of logs. (18 each)

Facts:

-This won't make much money, but it's worth the time for 80.
-It's probably the most boring part in woodcutting.

Levels 80-99

Items needed:

Rune Axe
Dragon Axe (optional, members only)
Tinderbox to burn (optional)
Knife to fletch (optional)

Now there are two choices again. This is nearly the end.

F2p: You can now cut yew relatively quick. You can either stay at willows a little longer, or make some money now with yews. The best and only spot i see suitable for cutting and banking yews is edgeville. This spot has 2 trees and is by far the best. If you don't mind walking, or want to powercut yews then another spot is behind varrock castle. There are a few other spots with only 1 tree that people cut at but i don't suggest them because they take forever to respawn and more than 1 person will most likely be there.

P2p: P2p is best for cutting yews. There's tons of spots and you have the option of a dragon axe if you can afford it or borrow it. Some of the best spots include: Seers village. 4 trees, somewhat close to bank. Catherby. 6-7 trees, further from bank but well worth it with the amount of trees. Grand Tree. Pretty far from bank but nobody really goes here so it's a good spot. Edgeville. 2 trees and pretty close to bank.

63,134 logs from 80-99
That's 28,410,300 gp worth of logs! (450 ea)

Facts:

-Going for any 99 is vigorous, so don't quit!
-Think about how much money this will make you for motivation.
-Remember you can always go back to willows!

Alternative for P2p Levels 80-99:

You can also cut magic trees. This isn't suggested but i've see some friends of mine cut mages from 80-99 or 85-99. It makes you alot of money but it's slow. I suggest going to 99 on yews for money or willows for exp and cutting mages once your 95+. They are pretty slow but well worth the wait.

That's 58,113,795 gp worth of logs! (1315 each)

Facts:

-Don't get stressed over it taking so long. You knew from the beginning the time it will take.
-Remember, you can always go back to yews!
-Think about how much money this will make you for motivation.

You now have a 99 skill! (Unless you already had one). ^_^ Woodcutting is a great skill to make money. Logs have recently been increasing in price due to the fact that there isn't many gold farmers left in the game, so demand went up because supply went down! (I learned that in 10th grade). So i suggest you go make a ton of money! You can earn well over 1k for magics and well over 400gp each for yews! Good luck on making gold!

Meh i didn't mention teaks because i got 99 woodcut myself about a year or so ago... I'll add that to my guide and give Djoscard credit though.

 

nice guide.

add the part about teaks on ape atoll in the "quick wc" section, but there's a way to keep your teaks if u don't mind spending a little more time.

use a duel ring. go to castle wars. run just a little bit south and then a bit of a ways to the west. there's just 1 teak tree over that way. once you're full, tele back to castle wars with your ring, bank and repeat. the only bad part is the running back to the tree. that's where cutting on ape atoll is faster than this methode. to help out while cutting near castle wars, add that u should use the best familiar for carrying stuff, that u can. more logs per trip that way, and there's a place to recharge summoning just outside the doors to castle wars.
