[Question] Safety of account post-infernal cape ban

Hello everybody, this is a post asking a couple questions about the safety of doing inferno, after a ban.

A little backstory, 2 years ago I bought an infernal cape, naive as hell, from a guy using a VPN. I changed my password beforehand, removed auth etc. He also changed F-keys and played on fixed which I never did.

All the dumb stuff. I know. I got temp banned and cape removed about 3 months after this. I obviously regret this very much and am not here for judgement, I know this was really stupid of me and practically asking for a ban.

However, moving on, I'm convinced I am able to complete the inferno myself, and plan to do it fairly soon, based on answers I get here, I guess.

My question basically is, is it safe to do it myself? Let's say I take 20-30 attempts on my own ip, with my own password etc etc, and my own 'play style' so to say (does jagex even look at play style?), how big are the chances I get banned for it? What if I do it in 5 attempts? Am I extra safe because I have been 'flagged' due to the inferno ban before, and they make extra sure or is it the other way around? Am I in extra danger and will it just be an automatic ban? If I do get banned, is it an automatic un-appealable perm ban, or is it another temp? Has anybody here got/bought another cape after ban? Also, how can I maybe, in the worst case scenario 'prove' to jagex that I did it myself, as these bans are un-appealable? I tried asking jagex these questions, but obviously I just get ignored by them.

the attempts don't really make a difference, just make sure it's done on the ip/device that you usually play on

 

As above, if you purchase an inferno and someone does it via teamviewer; make sure to use cable and not wifi.
