well tbh i can't afford to buy a 40$game or..to pay like 200$ for a program like adobe photoshop...

i would say yes and no at the same time...

 

I download everything, programs, games, music everything.
I have like over 4000 "items" downloaded already, but that's not what I have on my pc. I have around 2k songs, 5 games and 3-4 programs illegal on my pc.

Buying software and games is just too expensive and downloading music is easier for me, since there is no store near where I live that sell the music I like.

I said no because it is not illegal where I live, I do often download pirated software though, mostly torrents.

Your analogy is much more extreme than the act of simply downloading software. There are many differences between virtual and physical merchandise, and also, I would be opposed to somebody stealing from a privately owned store, or perhaps, some private coder trying to make a little bit of money off of his program. But I'm not sad when I hear about somebody taking virtual goods, more specifically, arts, or software to aide somebody make more use of their lives. which should be at easy access to anyone from large corporations. I wouldn't be sad at all if I heard that Wal-Mart was robbed of say, a board game.

Also, to answer your question, you would benefit if you got away with it, the store owner wouldn't then.

3. yea obviously its illegal and wrong. but some people don't do it not because they want it. Some people (like me) cant afford to pay 1,000+ or more in software. so it has its pro's and con's. its all a matter of opinion on how one feels its bad or good.
