Basic Knowledge about Pures

"A good defense, is a good offense."

A pure can result devastating damage while it's combat level is relatively low. Why? Because of it's massive focus on a certain combat skill(s) such as strength and range.

1.0 - Names

Naming your pure can be fun, because one it can be a cocky name or it could be a name related to what type of pure you are (if so than there will be a list of type of pures later own). Examples of nice names.

It could be other names, but make sure it sounds cool. You don't want to regret the name of your pure.

2.0 - Choose your type


Strength
Range
Mage
Defense
You could also mix it up.




Hybrid [Mage, Range and Strength]
Strength, Range combination
Mauler (These can vary. Range with 60+ Strength. Or Mage, or mage and range or 40+ defence.)
Tank [Range, or Mage with 40+ defence]
Choose wisely, as there is no turning back once you begin training a skill(s). Although it's possible, people turn to hybrid seeing that they could use 3 styles rather than focus on one. This happens a lot to strength pure. They get 40 range to get green d'hide chaps and vambs. Than level up range further. Funny story, but anyways there can be some turn backs. But it would be cut down to a short one if you leveled up most skills too far.

3.0 - Getting started

First of all, you will need bundle of cash depending on what pure you chose.
I can name the price range for each type of pure.




Range - 650K to 70, 3M to 99. Just buy some iron arrows than iron knives. Gather supplies for PKing and BH, i suspect it should be about 1M for a week of supplies. Depending on your level really.
Melee - Iron - Dragon Scimitar cost 200K. Rune 2H 45K. Iron sets (5) 25K. Lots off food are required as your hit more frequently. So buying salmons for training would cost 400K+. Whip will cost 1.4M.
Mage - 300K till 40, 5M-40M+ till 99.
Defense - Buying all the sets till Torags full, 2M. Buying Dragon full (Chain with legs) will vary in GE.
These are estimates. And anyways you'll need more equipment. Like d'hides and strength/glory/magic amulets. Just get enough money and you'll know when to switch and buy your armor/weapons/etc...

3m for 99 range pfft as if you would have that much time god i can hardly chin 99 range. 85 to 99 range with chins and my stoof is only like 60 hours or something

So are you suggesting that salmon be a good food to train with? Ive just used trout because its half the price.

 

Quite basic so far... add some more pking tips, etc etc and it will improve.

 

Decent and slightly Helpful. I'd like to see more intresting topics, like maybe a guide to firecape for rangers, quests to complete for xp, fast training, better area's, best equipment to train with, And maybe how you're supposed to own in pvp XD that'd be good rofl.

Im sorry but this guide Fails. 1/10 you need to add pictures and you left out ALOT! of into.

 

defence pures should have enough money to atleast buy a dfs so they have a chance at pking someone.
