My first sig

Hey, I am new to here, but have been looking at the GFX section, and decided to try making my own... These were created using gimp(will get photoshop soon)

So here is a couple versions of my sig, Tell me which one is better Also some constructive criticism would be nice... I know they r sheet

Umm.. Here is my 3rd
kinda just messing around with this one... turned out to be my best... there is a little bit of a border on 1 side

 

better than most stuff i've seen as first sigs.

Look up tutorials, my friend.

I would list tips; but I do not think this reply would be, long enough . Not to mention, myself, uses Adobe Photoshop.

Pretty good for a first, far better than mine.

I highly suggest going to http://www.gamerenders.com/forums and checking out the tutorial section. They have such a massive selection from beginner to expert, it really helps.

PM me for a list of sites that will help you out an aweful lot (e.g. Tutorial sites, CnC sites).

 

Haha we all know what Gimp is haha.

First one is monotone, last one has clashing colors. What is the box behind him for?

 

Not to sure... lol how that box kinda got behind him...

Also as for the colours i know...

*side note* The render is fated because it just looked even weirder not...

 

Blending is bla... Don't change the render's opacity, modify it and its background to go together, or make it look like the render belongs with the background.

 

ya i actully like it, 7-8/10. i wish i new how to make a sig lol.

those are pretty good for your first ever....umm all i have to say is thatur lighting is way off...like you cant just put a random lens flare in the middle of the sig...plan it out and on the first one like try to put it up in teh top corner where hes looking that will give the sig some flow..

thats great for a first sig.. second one is best... try adding more colour and pop out effects..
