New Sig/Avatar Combo

Defaults only: not much work to it, but hey-looks good, right?

 

I like the avater, did you deliberately spell it like: 'abstrakt' , instead of the correct spelling: 'abstract' ?

 

Border is too big and the background is just too plain in the signature. Keeping trying, experience comes from learning.

I'm sorry but you really shouldn't be judging anyone's signatures.


And yes I did 'misspell' the word abstract on purpose.

 

Why shouldn't he? This is the GFX Showcase section, you post here to get critiqued. If you didn't want any cnc then write in the topic "no cnc i'm just posting this so you can look at it and not get replies." >.>.

The avatar is nice. grandpa runescaper is right, the sig is a bit plain. but i shouldn't be judging anyone's signature.

Please read what I wrote carefully, what he wrote, and see who he is, what his graphic skill level is, and then try to decipher why such a statement was used.

He has every right to post, he even gave you decent advice. To me it just looks like a slightly radial gradient in the background, with 2 text layers saying "GR", one being cut, and slightly juxtaposed to the first layer of text, and again "abstrakt" just being two layers of simple text?

Apart from the effect of simplicity, to me it has no effect... It doesn't catch my eye, and doesn't have flow to it.

Try read some tutorials, even on sigs only using text, to see how you can improve the placement, flow and aesthetic pleasing of it.

Then again this is only my opinion.

Go take a look at famous artists. They throw some paint on a page and call it art. To be honest, its about looking good, not complexity. And not everything has to have flow - I mean cmon, it's only two letters on the page.

 

Only have one statement.
