Partyhat rarity

Hey guys.
What are your opinions on rarity of each partyhat in the game?
I know that only Jagex knows this and will never tell us but maybe someone can offer a good guess from their own experience. I've seen some older players claiming that actually Green partyhat is rarest due to being 3rd rarest from Christmas cracker but when the famous dupe abuse was done nobody really (as they claim) duped Green partyhats but they massively duped the two of most expensive in RSC, Purple partyhat as being number 1 and Blue partyhat as number 2 + Christmas crackers of course. Main characters were banned at the time with huge number of partyhats and crackers but Jagex didn't re-roll the infamous day so there's still some of duped ones in today's market.
I'll also make a poll.
I would really like to hear your opinion on this topic, thank you for reading.

 

At this point in the game it's all just manipulations through hoarders/collectors whatever you choose to call them - that's just my opinion though. I would only wear red/white though to be honest, the rest I personally don't like at all.

yellow / red should be most common but pink was duped the most so idk.

 

Jagex said at the time that Chritmas crackers were duped the most and that number of partyhats that went into market wasn't big.

 

There aren't any pink phats on rs3, might be some rsps you're playing.
Purple went from rarest to least due to the dupe

 

purple party hats originally where called pink learn your game history before you @ me.


In RuneScape Classic, partyhats were simply called "party hat" with no colour in their name. What is now the purple partyhat was more magenta in colour, but players called it pink. After the release of RuneScape 2, Jagex made a slight colour change to the "magenta" partyhat, and then named it purple partyhat.

Yeah i'd definitely like to see the amount of random odd items in the game currently.

I also don't think they will ever release numbers but I'm also not too convinced that blue partyhat is the rarest... a lot of dicers just made it the iconic phat to have and it turned out that way, hoarders would be the only indicator of any realistic number though..

Agreed. Hyperinflation of all other RS3 rares will eventually topple -- I doubt people will pay $5-10k for a single virtual item, especially with a potential recession.

 

Dicers wore blue because it was the most expensive not to make it iconic etc, just a wealth flex

 

cus if they do release the numbers, people will start to do the math and notice there are enough party hats for the remaining people that play RS3. In other words, a selection of players owns almost all of them, and the other part is on idle accounts I'd say.

Guestimating a couple 1000 phats still in the game? Anyhow I'll not be buying any of the rares again, RS3 is bound to die with the current player base.

 

Purple was the least common to get from a Cracker however because of the dupe it tanked (it was duped because it was the least common) But now id say party hats prices are less about rarity and more about market demand.

Nobody calls it a pink phat its been purple for 19 years adapt.

Well it's been purple for 4x longer than it was pink. Adapt boomer mentality.

 

I really do feel like RS3 will ultimately die down.. which means OSRS will suffer. Unless they attract the WOW/Diablo player base with enhanced play like EOC, I don’t see them growing that much over the next decade.
