...::: 500 Most Common Passwords :::...

After the recent update, Jagex may have you change your password if it is one of the 500 most commonly used ones. Just out of curiosity, I googled "500 most common passwords", and found a nice compiled list. I found it interesting. Somethings are common sense... other I just don't understand.

Also, these can't be all the one's Jagex blocked, because many are too short to be RS pass's.

I'm surprised how many dirty words there are. That thought never occured to me.

-Some things I noticed was that "0" was on there twice. Perhaps one is a Capitol O and the other a Zero, or whoever compiled this used a spreadsheet, and words ending in Zero would be automatically cut-off, because they are not significant figures.

-Another thing. What the heck is "abgrtyu". 6 of the characters are adjacent on a QWERTY keyboard, but other than that, I don't know what it means. Runescape does not consider it one of their top 500, because I was able to create an acc. with that pass.

I can only remember myself having 1 of these passwords, which was #1, the most common one. Back in the good ol' days when I played Neopets rofl =)



BTW, this is just interesting info... it has nothing to do with password scamming, etc. Especially since these are COMMON password, and Jagex will have us change them anyways.

You people are dense. It's effectively to serve as a forewarning to change your password if it matches any on the list, as they are common passwords, therefore are not secure at all.

my password was sooooooooooo easy and all accounts same pass lol, its was like the most common word used on internet with the most common numbers behind it lol

Doesnt mean we cant post password lists, could be used for educational purposes, for lets say you dont want to put your password as one of those

Umm, yea most are like sex and dirty words cause most people have dirty minds, it made me laugh all the 1234 i saw, cause I use to use those a lot
