building new pc, question about operating system

Sup guys, building a top end pc and in my current one i have a bootleg activate windows operating system my brother gave me. Would like a real windows 10 with all features and was wondering if it was possible to get one thats not 100$

 

Yes, windows 10 oem keys sell for much cheaper compared to retail. Also you can get keys of the internet for as little as 20$ last time I checked.

Damn. I should have done this. Just bought windows 10 the other day for like $120 on Newegg. Lol

 

I got a key for two dollars, definitely no sense in buying a full retail price one. Haha

This was a bit weird. I found a website that sold keys because I wanted to upgrade my old computer. They emailed me a key and left instructions to call Microsoft to verify it. When I entered it on the computer it was claimed to already be in use, but after I called MS they verified the key and my computer had Windows 10 Pro. It was a bit of a hassle.

It never did expire or get recalled. I may be able to dig up where I got this from if anyone needed it (and assuming they are still in business!).

 

That's odd.. but hey, if it works it works!
