I'm not going to prove that God exists... i'm going to disprove the religeon of Athiests, which means that God would have to exist.

Now that doesn't make too much sense does it?

    Athiestism = Wrong

The opposite is that God exists.

    Money plz.

My thanks to all those who have sent me emails this past year.

I must send my thanks to whoever sent me the one about rat shit in the glue on envelopes because I now have to use a wet towel with every envelope that needs sealing.

Also, I now have to scrub the top of every can I open for the same reason.

I no longer have any savings because I gave it to a sick girl (Penny Brown); who is about to die in the hospital for the 1,387,258th time.

I no longer have any money at all, but that will change once I receive the £15, 000 that Bill Gates/Microsoft and AOL are sending me for participating in their special e-mail program....

Or from the senior bank clerk in Nigeria who wants me to split £7 million with me for pretending to

be a long lost relative of a customer who died intestate.

I no longer worry about my soul because I have 363,214 angels looking out

for me, and St.Theresa's novena has granted my every wish.

I no longer use cancer-causing deodorants even though I smell like a water buffalo on a hot day.

Thanks to you, I have learned that my prayers only get answered if I forward e-mail to seven of my friends and make a wish within five minutes.

Because of your concern I no longer drink Coca-Cola because it can remove toilet stains.

I no longer can buy petrol without taking a friend along to watch the car so a serial killer won't crawl in my back seat when I'm filling up.

I no longer go to shopping malls because someone will drug me with an aftershave sample and rob me.

I no longer answer the phone because someone will ask me to dial a number for which I will get a phone bill with calls to Jamaica, Uganda, Singapore and Uzbekistan.

Thanks to you, I can't use anyone's toilet but mine because a big brown African spider is lurking under the seat to cause me instant death when it bites my bum.

And thanks to your great advice, I can't even pick up the £50.00 I found dropped in the car park because it probably was placed there by a sex molester waiting underneath my car to grab my leg.

If you don't send this e-mail to at least 144,000 people in the next 70 minutes, a large dove with diarrhea will land on your head at 5:00pm this afternoon and the fleas from 12 camels will infest your back, causing you to grow a hairy hump.

I know this will occur because it actually happened to a friend of my next door neighbor's ex-mother-in-law's second husband's cousin's beauticians relative once removed.

By the way....a South American scientist after a lengthy study has discovered that people with low IQ who have infrequent sexual activity always read their e-mails with their hand on the mouse.

Don't bother taking it off now, it's too late!

    Happy 2009

Yet I am still yet to see any proof of any other 'theories'. Believing in God strengthens your self-belief and also makes your life better in the long run. People see Christianity as a set of rules, yet being a living testimony means you will never mistreat people, people will look up to you, and you will feel better about yourself and others will think well of you.... so I would actually choose religion over atheism just for even those simple reasons.
And believing in God isn't s much as proving he's real, it's agreeing he is real... having the sense to know, no matter whether it can be proved or not, that he does exist.

I'd find it quite amusing if some 13 year old kid was able to offer sufficient proof where all others have failed.

I wouldn't call blind faith "sense". I'd like for you to answer a question. What happens to everyone who's not Christian when they die? Do they get sent to (supposing it exists) Hell to burn in eternal torment? Does this supposed righteous creator condemn them for eternity? According to Christianity, he will. Is that altogether a pure religion? I would say not.

From another point of view, if any religion is to be considered as true it would be Judaism. It is the most ancient religion recorded, and most religions are takes off it. Christ was king of the Jews, Christianity did not even exist at this time. In fact, Christianity is mostly based on the Egyptian Sun-Cult, the Cult of Amun-Ra. "Amen" is simply another spelling of "Amun," the most powerful Egyptian god. Amun is also pronounced "Amen" so it is believed that English took Amun and made it English, a butchered version of the original, thus creating Amen.

Yet another proof is the Vatican itself. Why need there be secrets? Unless the secrets told the truth. The only thing that keeps you following like a dog chasing its bone is the fact they you are told and you believe. You do not question; faith is a blindfold used to keep you in the dark. God doesn't even have a name. He's simply God capital G. Isn't that a bit vague? The truth is all around you; you need to take off your blindfold and discover it.

Even if there was a God as pure as you describe, then all that would be required of you to gain admittance to heaven is to lead a good life that benefits others.

We need to stop worrying about the afterlife and live in the now. Do you need a set of guidelines laid down in stone for you? Or will you set your own values and live by your own morals? If you make decisions based on your unproven second life's quality, then you will not have experienced your first and quite probably only life. Live by your own code.

    Have you read the Quran?

If so, i'd gaurantee you 100% that you would know that god exists.

And don't reply that you have because i'd know if you have or not.

Which theory would you like evidence for?

That does not imply that religion is true, which is sort of what we're arguing here.

Well if you know that he exists, his existence has been proven somehow to you.

I bet you're really banking on God not existing, because $5000 is a hell of a lot to lose trying to prove a point on a spam thread.

I don't think he exists therefore I guess I don't really have a case to argue that I would believe in. The stuff science can't explain though are often glazed over and if you actually tried to prove everything you would find you couldn't, therefore may God does exist and he does the things which are unexplainable.
On the other hand, these things may be explained in the future as humans amass even greater knowledge of the world we live in and the wider universe.
My point is; humans like to be able to explain everything, therefore the things we can't prove, we make up a fun story and say God did it. In ancient times humans had less accumulated knowledge, and therefore religion was a bigger part of their lives. Now people can't believe in God because less things are pinned on his 'doing'.

    God doesn't exist.

You've got a point, but I think that generally all religion's Gods end up doing similar things and none are human. But I guess if you do create your own religion and get at least 2 people to recognise you are God, you should win the $5000.
