    Spring Clean the Forums?

I was looking at forums today and I thought they could be cleaned out, old topics could be deleted ( To stop grave digging ), unused areas could be changed into different areas, unused accounts that have been inactive for a while could be deleted? I suppose my suggestion is to change the forums a bit and clean it out. ^_^

    Spring Clean the Forums?

I understand that with the forum clean up part, but what about the username clean up? Some of those names are really old and haven't been used for ages with 1 or 2 posts on them.

And what is the problem with that?
What do YOU get out of it, unless you're only made this thread to get the name "A" deleted, so you could be called it, but you can't, 'cuz you can only make a new account if you spelled your username wrong acording to the rules.

I honestly don't care about my name being changed, it never came to mind.. But it's not what I get out of it, it's what other people and new users that come to Sythe get out of it. How would you feel if you came onto Sythe brand new trying to register when every account name you tried was taken? You'd get frustrated.

There's really no need to delete them, as grave digging will earn a nice, shiny infraction. However, they do still contain some useful information, so they should be left alone.

    No, not at all.
I would be like "oh, I can't be called 'Cool', then I'll just call myself 'Asscrack'".
No-one has ever complained about not being able to get a good name, lol. ^^

    Spring Clean the Forums?

This is the WORST POSSIBLE THING you can do on a forum. This is NOT a clan site, so deleting innactive users, just means less hits to sythe, and less money for the site in the end (What would you rather join a forum with 50 members, or a forum with 50000? Think before you post.), and deleting past posts does not show the real activity the site has, only what is currently happening, yet again decreasing user join rate, site activity and revenue.

There are already precautions about gravedigging (nice infractions as previously stated.) think before you post useless suggestions that actually HURT the site please.

I think the amount of posts we have on sythe catches people's attention. Also, there are archives for a reason.
