Donations Via paypal

Don't know if this is in the correct section but maybe sometime matthew can put back paypal donations because more than half the people on the site can donate via paypal and 5 dollars from each person is a lot pl0x?

and half of the site can recover the money easily after using the rank as trust and scamming. then taking the money back. and that leaves the site in debt. end of discussion.

I think sythe/matthew is thinking of a alternate to paypal, Or making paypal like a company thing,....Matthew/Sythe could ask the person buying to email them with there paypal email, and that will show proof that they bought the goods...

 

I think that there should be a minimum amount that should be payed if using paypal. ie $50,

Because if paypal was back up i would be looking to donate $100 dollars lol

Yes but so did over 40 other leechers who then withdrew it and scammed.

 

How about previous donators who haven't withdrawn the donation? PayPal is pretty much the only way I can donate on this site, unless Matthew decides to accept RSGP again.

 

Maybe a high requirement?

- Minimum of 6 months on Sythe
- Minimum of 300 - 500 posts
- No history with anything about scamming.

Paypal was REMOVED because of all the problems it caused, YES it is a pain in the ass for some, but it really isn't much harder to stick your money in the mail. (OH NO you're going to spend an extra 2$ on an envelope some scrap paper and a stamp.) putting it back up would just encourage this type of behavior again.

Do you think sythe took down paypal lightly? Do you think that he was happy about doing it? No you didn't think about everything it meant for him when he did it. Less revenue from LEGITIMATE users, a lot less money to him, a lot less money to the site. Thats what it meant for sythe, but for the sake of security of both himself and his USERS who were getting scammed because of the rank. He removed it, he is losing mony to help protect YOU and now you want to complain.

Paypal is gone for a reason and it should stay gone until there is someway to trade legitimately with it end of discussion.

chargebacks are too easy with paypal. i dont think it should come back.

dont be lazy, just xfer the money to mb then donate...

I think they should bring back paypal donations with various requiremnts .

 

Then mods have to keep track of all that garbage, and make sure you meet the requirements etc. It's just a waste of time. Leave it as it is. No paypal.
