Did you install Visual Basic express edition 2008? I am pretty sure it installs some c++ stuff but just let it do it cause it's probably needed ;)

The things the installer tried to install are probably runtimes required to run the IDE (Visual C++ runtimes and whatnot) or other features of VStudio.
