He hasn't responded to me either :(

I just did some calculations, and the most you can make per 100 hours is 9m now? WTF happened to MTA rofl. I made 25m per 100 hours when it first came out -.-

Looks to me as though you'd make the most profit off of Battlestaves, not by selling them to the g.e. but by attaching powered orbs to the staves then alching them for 9,300gp ea. Seeing as mage books used to be the best items back when it was 4-5m ea, now there like what? 2m, you spend that much in supplies to get enough points for it.

I'm only saying this way because none of the staves should be sold to the g.e. therefore prevent price drops. But it can have an affect on powered orbs but if your stupid enough to buy those on max you don't deserve to be using MTA Bot.

It is the MTA Bot, because ppl get infinity items and mage books and wanna get rid of them fast, so they sell for lowest price = price goes down

wrong, you think that the RID bot can get enough points for a piece of infinity before a pvp trick gets it as a drop?

at least 80% of the activity going on in a pvp world is 78k tricks.

Goes back to the thing where something like 50% of statistics are made up on the spot? ;) Mta has helped with bringing down the price of infinity, if people would be patient and sell at high prices, it would have no effect.

MTA is the number one source of this, not RID just the idiots who sell everything they get their hands on at low price. Hundreds of people use some form of MTA Bot, rsbot or the one by RID. That's hundreds of items from MTA going into the grand exchange each day and people selling them at min coupled with the fact that people are also now only buying at min to further lower the prices. The PVP trick had an effect on Infinity Hats, a major one since it's a very common drop but the rest was due to MTA botters.

There's probably 50 times as many real players training at the mage training arena each week, as there is people using RID. Prices of infinity were dropping, before V1 came out, and because the G E and trading updates coincided with the release of the bot, it's impossible to judge how much (if at all) the bot contributed to the price drop.

Last January if I remember correctly the price of a mage book was 2.4M, today it is 2.7M, yet I would guess that is the "item of choice" for RID members. For players I'd guess boots are most popular. It's things like gloves, robe bottoms that have dropped the most, and nobody in their right minds would spend pizzaz points on these (ie, who would spend pizzaz on gloves when you can get boots for less points, sell them then buy two pairs of gloves). It's an economic principal, that pizzaz points are spent on the item(s) that are best value for points, so it must have been a long time since the MTA supplied any signinficant number of infinity robes, gloves, hats to the market. In conclusion, recent price drops (on these items, that have been low demand and low value for points for a long time) were not caused by fresh items brought into the market from the MTA (by either players or botters). Rather it's from the trade of low-demand existing infinity items already in the market, and items earned from drops.

The price last January on mage books, was 4.5m. I know for a fact because that's when I used 200 hours and made over 50m off MTA Bot + 99 mage before being banned. It's been cut in half since last year.

Yeah I remember you using the bot. I hope you stick to the guidelines this time, if you are going to use V4. Except you've got your dates way off, you got 99 magic in June 2008 not January, and I remember you used about 20 hours a day and got 99 magic in 1 month or something? So you started botting in May 2008. I don't have any record of you botting in January 2008 though.

To summarise, the price of mage books dropped to around 2.2M in the aftermath of the G E, a lot of people blamed RID V1 for the price drops, at the time. However economics is a complicated thing, the price of mage books went up steadily after that, and has fluctuated between 2M and 4M since. When V2 was released, (January last year), I noted the price of Mage Book to be approx 2.4M. It's not halfed since then, it's currently 2.7M an increase of 300k. It may well have been over 4M in June 2008 when you were botting, I know the price of a mage book has dropped since it rose sharply after the pvp update. There are economic factors affecting prices, bigger than RID, shown by the fact the items that have dropped most recently are items people never trade pizzaz points for anyway. Actually the number of people using RID is very small.

Theres a graph for mage book (shows 1+ year what the price have been). So the price started to go up when RID's MTA bot went down (at summer). Im not blaming this bot, but just telling the facts :D
