Is there a direct correlation between our universe and time?

I guess a better wording would be, is "time" necessary for our universe to exist? I am aware that it wouldn't exist the way it does, and we probably can't fully comprehend how it would exist, but it is possible for our universe to exist without, what we call, "time". Well just wanted to ask what you guys think.

 

I dont know much about quantam physics but i've read that space and time compose the fourth dimension. As the universe is composed of space, time must also exist for the universe to exist.

I'm pretty sure my logical reasoning is flawed. Oh well, least i tried

 

It depends which way you interpret 'time'. I am not very knowledgeable on this matter so I may be wrong here but isn't time a unreal thing made up by humans to try to understand the world? It all depends how you interpret it.

Only humans need watches, why would any other animal even want a watch?

 

You can't compare an animal to a human being.

 

I am aware of the fact that is not an actual thing, just a theory that is used to explain the order of events that occur. That's why I put time in quotes.
