    So Viacom is going to be screwed if they don't sign a deal with TimeWarner.

    You won't be screwed. Just switch providers .... Not a big deal.

    Some do, but only if you sign into a contract saying you must. Also, why is this in SFA and not off-topic?

    Other companies are so eager to gain their business that little fees (If they exist) don't matter. They would save money overall as the new company would offer them a/some deal(s).

    Disconnection fees are a bitch here since the market is so much smaller.
