Here is a picture of the Guitar Hero section for the BASIC FoF, the one that doesn't look much like GH3.
The descriptions under the names sums it up nicely, so I'll leave it at that.

Folder Guide!





Is the folder.
Note the colored circles and text in blue.

Data folder is the one I will go over most.
Go inside the Data folder.




Pay attention to the colors of lines and circles and text in the legend.

Inside the themes folder is nothing pretty much unless you want to edit and look at GH3 bitmap images.






So, songs folder is where we will be looking.




Again, it's described inside the picture.

Adding your own song!

Find the song you want in the forum for Tune Posting , and follow the pictures!

Click the download link, then ;

For this I will be using NON FULLSCREEN so the pictures wont be huge.

FoF is Frets on fire.
Alarian MFH is Alarian My Fingers Hurt.


Alarian is a mod of FoF that you only download the mod, not both the mod and FoF, so you download the Alarian, and you run it.


that's it unless you want to customize it, I'm also thinkign of making a sythe theme for guitar hero and write a gudie on how to mod as I make it.

I like this guide.
Its descriptive. It looks nice! and really useful for people who are interested in playing guitar hero.

Myself not being a huge fan of the franchise I still like the guide!

Nice guide! Just to let everyone know, you can actually buy and play REAL Guitar Hero 3 for PC, and then get customs on it.

(Thats what I did.)

 

But you need a super computer >_>

Thisis more convenient, you can make your own themes, like I made a pawngame theme, a youtube theme, a skateboard theme, a linkin park theme, etc.
You can have as many songs as you need.
It has an exact rockband 2(It's AWESOME!)
You don't need a keyboard, you can use the pc guitar controller

That to, this requires WAY less RAM, not to mention with this you can have ANY hyperspeed in intervals of 10 instead of 100.

Say you like hyperspeed x5 on real.

But you want abit more strecthed out notes, you can set to 5.1, 5.2, etc.

I myself use around 340% speed for songs on hard, and mrkoe for expert.
