Lol? You state death metal is crap, cannibal corpse is crap, then why not amaze us with some videos of you playing such mindless crap. Quite honestly I'd love to see you attempt to play the scales incorporated within many death metal songs. By all means play any of these songs and truly establish how "crappy' death metal is.

Quite honestly, the stuff YOU listen to is plain old regurgitated crap. Nothing more than unoriginal talent bound on implementing redundant themes within their lyrics. If it isn't the lack of original riffs it sure as hell the lack originality.

To be honest, most modern bands aren't as good as any of the older bands. When you compare Death, Morbid Angel and other such Death Metal pioneers with modern Death Metal bands, or perhaps Iron Maiden and the old Metallica (new album sucks) to something like Slipknot, you can really tell the difference. Bands like Slipknot I find are just sub-par to the bands which really defined metal, and to be honest if they're influential then I really do not want to know where music is headed in the next decade.

Children of Bodom went to the shits after Hate Crew Deathroll, and that album was iffy. Are You Dead Yet just failed, and Blooddrunk is a mixture of Are You Dead Yet and something similar to Hatebreeder, but it still isn't good. Best album by CoB was Follow The Reaper.

 

Don't you dare say Silverstein is punk, Mr. Genre Knowitall.

Where does metallica fall on this list? Mostly talking about their pre-crap era and death magnetic (which is a really good album)

 

I'm personally not the biggest fan of Metallica. I can't believe I forgot them though.

Some of those guys are Deathcore but are exceptable. I really like WhiteChapel and Job For A Cowboy because they are more death metal. I don't like any of those other guys. I'll add WhiteChapel and JFAC.

I'll put Manowar up there, and I really can't believe I left out Necrophagist! I love Necrophagist! Nile is already up there though.

Also, Lamb of God has softened up a little bit since they hit it main stream, so bleh.
