What to do when you get scammed.

Don't you just hate when someone scams your money. So you report to PayPal, and it takes months until they finish, and usually they never give out the money. It is better if you give out as much information as possible. Anything like name, last name, anything would be helpful. Chat logs would be really helpful. This is a government website and makes the scammer regret he every messed with you.



1. First go here: http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

2. Read if you have to, just to get what it actually is.

3. On the bottom click "File a Complaint"

4. Click "I Accept"


You have to put your real information. I know you don't want to, but this is the government you are dealing with.

6. Then fill out anything you know about the scammer/stealer.


Its pretty easy, they will call you, they will even track the scammer/stealer down.

*Note: This also works for reporting hackers/phishers/government impersonators..etc anything over the internet pretty much

Use this ONLY if there is NO other choice to get your money back.​

most of the kids around here don't know that "internet scamming/stealing" is real stuff and comes with consequences.

 

And dont forget...When you get scammed ..Spam every forum complaining..That will make the admin love you.

Its a decent guide, not really at any use to me. Also like I said before small amounts scammed, which usually it is, and its usually RS items/gold and not real money is in small amounts. Usually not scammed in a large amount worth reporting to the goverment.

I honestly doubt this will work. FBI is very packed as it is. I doubt they have the time nor resources to investigate pixel scamming. Also, remember, in the event the FBI does follow through, best believe Jagex will be notified.
However, if you are ever scammed via paypal (eg stolen paypals), then definitely use this form. Anyway, thanks for the info but horrible guide.
