The many indiscriminate terrorist attacks in regions such as Egypt, Indonesia, Israel, Lebanon, Spain, Thailand, and the UK demonstrate the threat of terrorism to the world. This leaves open the possibility of future attacks which could occur randomly without warning.

What are you asking to discuss? The fact that idiots strap bombs to themselves, say they're martyrs, go onto a bus, and blow up innocent people?

 

There really is nothing to discuss, there is no way of stopping it besides implementing full control and observing every single person on the planet, and the chances of that happening are rather slim.

actually there is a way to stop it- make the would-be terrorists think twice before going and doing it, make sure there are severe consequences like a millitary retaliation that would make the terrorist think if it really is worth it?

Let's look to Iraq/Afghanistan area.

What is their motivation? Allah- their religion.
Why? Is it written in their bible to "convert others or put them to death" or something like that..

The Bible and Christianity are worse than the Koran and Islam, just because Christians don't have as many extremists as Muslims do doesn't prove that you're any better.

I love how people think there is nothing to debate which, honestly, is ludicrous. Simply discuss proper security measures, reasons for attack, why they are sometimes not targeted or premeditated, who is most susceptible, etc.
I believe the most powerful tool a terrorist group has is the power to instill fear. When someone is feared, they are also respected. These terrorist aren't technically respected, but, they are respected in a sense that we know what these radical groups are capable of. When someone is living in fear, their judgment and decision making is clouded.

as for the recent attacks on Gaza- retaliation becomes necessery when our women, children and elders are suffering from never ending rocket launches on their towns for the past 3 or so weeks (since when the hamas chose to end the temporary truce)

and please dont bring ridiculous claims that all palestinian casualties were innocent civillians- these targets were picked carefully for several months now, you can find IDF airplane footage clearly showing they're attacking rocket stashes (you see secondary explosions after the initial airplane strike) and hamas training camps and millitary bases- somehow "human rights" organisations call it "crimes against humanity" while they remained comfortably silent about the Qassam rocket launches.

sadly, due to the incredible cynical cowardice used by the Hamas, by building their own millitary installations deep within densely populated civillian areas, stashing weapons inside mosques, and firing rockets from civillian homes, civillian casualties are inevitable

since when is defending your people from a foreign threat a crime against humanity? the REAL crime is not doing anything about it

 

The US is the biggest terrorist threat in the world today, and the most effective way to reduce Qutbian terrorism would be call off the war on terrorism immediately and thoroughly revise imperialist foreign policy. Terrorism is the new Communism.

So basically, show mass weakness, which would just empower the terrorists. We can't just end the war on terror, it's an impossibility. We aren't an imperialist nation by the way. Retaliation and fear are exactly what we DON'T want.

 

Invading the middle east and killing thousands of innocent people is empowering the terrorists. These organizations recruit people, and there will be plenty of pissed off natives of these countries who will blame the US for the loss of their families and livelihoods.

The US is like an international terrorist organization. Look at Nicaragua or Afghanistan. And err, the US is without a doubt imperialist, there are countless examples of it using aggression to extend it's authority.
